Ailing Taraba Governor Danbaba Suntai makes 1st public appearance

More than two months after crashing his plane near Yola airport, ailing Taraba State governor, Danbaba Suntai, has made his first public appearance...not physically but in a photo recently released by people in his administration which shows him carrying one of the twins his wife delivered December 6th.

The photo was taken in the restaurant of a German hospital where the governor has been receiving treatment for multiple fractures following the plane crash.

Some people feel that the photos were released to show the governor was doing well and prevent his deputy, Garba Umara, who is now acting Governor, from being sworn in as governor after some media sites claimed Suntai had suffered severe brain damage following the crash.

This is what he should have done since. Address the people of his state formally from the hospital. It will even earn him more goodwill.

  28. Linda,I bet u he has suffered brain damage...he looks distant & out of touch with his immediate environment. If this is an attempt to cow the acting Gov, methinks it'll have the opposite effect. Remember a similar melodrama played itself out not too long ago wrt a former presido in this country.U & I are living witnesses to the final outcome. Mr acting Gov nothing do u...ur own don better(u can quote ONU-RAZOR)

  32. His face is blank, his body looks like it has no mobile function n it looks like the baby was carefully positioned to make it look like he was carrying him/her.His body posture's similar to that of a stroke victim, his wife n friend look very shady.1st it was Yar'adua, then Patience and now this dude here...as if the Germans'd not lost all respect for Nigerians b4 now.

  47. @Anonymous 9:51 PM. I get your message even though you mistakenly typed wealth instead of health. People just cant imagine life out of power and the wealth that comes with it. Enugu state governor is ill and has been out of the country for about three months, yet he wont resign honourably and focus on his health.

    ReplyDelete
  48. A man carrying his new born twins would at least put up a little smile, this is not a smart move at all. We pray for his quick recovery.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I know so much about this work, it doesn't take much to dress a brain damaged person and make look good for snaps. One look at him, I can tell he is at the moment existing but not living. I pity those doing this publicity stut, they'll soon realise he can never be Suntai again. All I can say is they are still clinging to power to get as much as they can before the bubble burst.

  50. He sure looks brain dead..

  56. He does not know where he is or what he is doing - loss of cognition probably from brain damage. No problem. No different from the other governors who look present. Hope he recovers. Not a life to live, governor or not.
