  43. Linda, has Obama given you US citizenship? I am only asking because your coverage of this story is getting too much. 'How long do you think even CNN would carry a '100 Nigerian children die' headline? The little angels we lost? I am sorry the little angels we lose are the ones who die of hunger and malaria everyday! I don't see you doing a post everyday on those little angels. I am not being callous, people lost their precious babies and that is unimaginable.

  44. Linda, ''We''? Which one be 'we', I nor join oh! What do you expect in a country where everyone has the right to own a gun. The United States of America is a crazy country. It is their problem, let them deal with it.

  45. OMG!! This is so touching deeply in my heart. May their gentle souls rest in perfect peace! So sad lost to the family of the victims.

  46. ''One person dies from gun violence every 7 minutes''

''A mass shooting occurs every 5 days in America''

''There are over 300 million guns in America. By some estimate, America has more guns then people''

''Every year an average of 35,000 people die from gun violence in the United States''

''That is 674 people people every week''.

    A civilized country indeed!

  50. @Chike Kalu i think you are the one to SHUT THE FUCK up . That reader is only telling it as it is. Incase you forget the readers are who make Linda Ikeji blog what is it and every reader has a right to their opinion

Since when did Linda become a US citizen that she is saying "we", blc of 2 trips to yanke ????? even i who went to uni of Connecticut they are not we to me. God bless their souls and give them rest but call it for what it is.

when Dana crash happened, i recall readers saying Linda should do a tribute , write about their story or show their beautiful faces. She kept mute and dumb . No Honor or tribute for them, all she did was post that it happened and list the manifest . And yes a post criticizing the wedding for taking place........... Hypocrisy at its best . kmt

  51. If you are one of those people that came on this story to criticize Linda for not publishing pictures of the Dana air victims, please look yourself in the mirror and say "I AM STUPID". WOW!!! So Linda should have gone to each of the families houses to get a pictures of each victim? I dont understand how some of you reason. Its like some of you are sheeps in human forms, no thinking faculty whatsoever. Must u always criticize? Atleast if u're gonna criticize something, be intelligent enough to do it.. SMH!!

  52. So many cynical and stupid comments here. The americans show value for life, and the coverage on media accross the world follows suit. Its not their fault that Nigerians are so dehumanised that the death of 30 ppl doesn't even make it to network news. If Linda said " we" what is wrong with that? They are children, humans and she is a citizen of the world. Why don't you reject her other stories from the US? Nonsense! She has info about the dead because it was made public. She should write about Nigerian cases? With info from where? Hypocrites!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Yes, I decided to read the comments because I knew some narrow minded people will definitely show themselves. Yes, it is news that Obama went to commiserate with the families. News to Nigerians. Wake up. And reject the disgraceful excuse for leadership that you have. A president who will not even bother to address his people days after they are slaughtered by Boko Haram. America is mourning, its news that 20 children died, that's how it should be. Those talking of Children dying in Nigeria, are they not faceless? Mourn them first, others will join. The same day as a boko haram attack Naija twitter will be gisting about british football as if its goats and chickens that died.

  63. smh head at some of these comments.. regardless of who.. regardless of where, LIVES were lost, innocent children's lives were lost.

WE are a part of the HUMAN RACE, so yes it is fitting she says we. When someone dies in another country I grieve with them, they don't have to die in the US for me to be compassionate.

Don't those in the US (or anywhere) sympathize w/the deaths of people overseas? smh!

Or would a 'Nigerian American' have to have died for you guys to deem her post as 'ok'? SMH! I wonder about the thought process of some of you all.

May their innocent beautiful souls RIP.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Did you guys think, that maybe Linda had easier access to the photos of these children, than the ones lost in the plane crash? I don't think I have seen a blog or news post anywhere that had the picture of every single person who died in that plane crash.

    May their souls RIP.
