ReplyDeleteThis is excellent! I used to live in Sweden and this does not surprise me at all. They respect women and don't take violence against women lightly. I am not saying it doesn't happen there but society as a whole is intolerant of it. Good for them! There is no excuse whatsoever for that sort of behaviour. If the victim herself has forgotten it, that's her problem. Young men will believe you can do smth like that to a woman and have no real consequences.

Violence to women remains one of the greatest types of violence there is in the world, hence the reason why people are very passionate about it.
Also, most women live in fear and are unable or unwilling to get out of the situation.
Chris Brown is star and therefore a role model. His actions are even further exaggerated since it would be interpreted as an endorsement for the perpetuation of violence to women by the wide audience he is able to reach, hence the reason for the seeming "unforgiveness" by the world. He is being used as a banner for the fight against violence to women.
But I know women beaters would find it difficult to understand any of the grammar i have just spoken.... Shiiiooo!!!!
