    ReplyDelete
  32. Uti grew up in Benin, secondary and university Im very sure of.nothing wrong with honoring him. Besides His Royal Majesty has every right to honor who he chooses

  33. I am embarrassed as an indigene of Edo state especially as a member of the royal Benin Kingdom that my Oba would stoop so low to join his contemporaries to dish out chieftaincy titles for the sake of it. First and foremost what has tuface done to help move the state forward and UTI I MEAN COME OOOOOON WTF?Tuface had kids out of wedlock eventually married one of his baby mama's and then what? What has he done worth celebrating or worthy of a title?Look at his contemporaries abroad Jay Z has done much more honorable things but we don't see any governors or Councillors giving him the keys to the city?

I am appalled by this act but can only sit back and watch as the well respected Oba of Benin GRADUALLY PULLS HIMSELF DOWN FROM THE GLORIOUS PEDESTAL WE HIS PEOPLE PLACED HIM ON TO BECOME A CLOWN. MTCHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW.

    2. U re just from a hopeless kingdom of benin. Tuface and Uti are far more better than u benin people. Ur oba honoured them cos of people from ur state and kingdom are bunch of thieves and prostitutes. Tell mee any reasonble benin person, even Isan people are doing better than u people although them too are abnormal people. Edo people are just a bunch of failures and dats why ur oba chose to honour Uti and Tuface. The earlier u haters start appreciating Uti and stop hating on him, the better for u. He deserves whatever it is that he won cos he made 9ja proud 2yrs ago @ Big Brother Africa by wining the grand prize. He is an international celeb and the oba of benin is just known within 9ja and the entire benin girls are international and local prostitutes. Tuface is also an international star. If I was them, I wouldn't have accepted any honour, whether beads or chieftancy from ur so called oba cos u people are so diabolic and fetish. Uti and Tuface should better go for serious deliverance.

  34. Shuttup! He has plenty baby mama so? Is he the 1st? How can u evn compare 2face and jayz???

    ReplyDelete
  35. The Oba did not give titles to them. Honouring someone does not necessarily mean giving him/her a chieftaincy title. It is an honour to receive gift from the Oba and that is what happened in this case. The Oba of Benin DID NOT give 2face or Uti any chieftaincy title.

    ReplyDelete
  36. @ MY TURN, which one be your own? why dont u be happy for them or just dont say anything if u have beef! and why do we always compare ourselves to US? NIGERIA AND USA NA MATE FOR AGE??

    ReplyDelete
  37. hmm. This is the same edo state where we launched a site www.edoheritage.com an information/developmental platform for the state and only few people turned up after many prominent people promised to come, even the onojie of other town. We were later told that it is bcos we didn't package brown envelopes for them to come. Its my state and I love it, but I'm dissapointed as to how they wil settle for brown envelopes rather than development and an opportunity for foreign investment. Please check out the site people. Thank you

    1. Shut up ur Warri irritrate. The earlier u haters understand that Uti is a Celeb and is not in the same category with u fools, the berra for u. Uti represented 9ja 2yrs ago @ Big Brother Africa and he won the price incase if u ve forgotten. I wonder what u have achieved except coming here to make silly comments. Stupid girl like u.

  39. Yes the oba of benin is still a honorable man. B4 we launched the site, it took us 3weeks before our letter was approved. We were the first to see him the chosen date and he's very learned, precise and accurate I must say.I doubt he handed out titles just like that because even wen we told him to be out patron, he turned it down and instead appointed the Oliya (king maker) of Benin Kingdom

    ReplyDelete
  40. @My turn: u are just a dumbass, even if u were told oba of Benin gave these people chieftancy titles u should have stood ur ground n say "NO" knowin how conservative d Oba is. Itz obvious u don't know ur root n am so disappointed in u. FYI am not from Edo but I know benin kingdom more than u "edo abroad". Am sure u've never even been there . @Anonymous 11:29am u r d only one that is sensible outta all dis people dropping comments like sh*t. Being honored is not necessarily being made a chief, even gettin to see the oba is an honor.

  51. I want to correct something here, Oba didnt give 2face or anybody a Chief that day. He honoured them & gave them a Royal bead. In Benin kingdom we dont give outsiders Chief & we dont give women also. it is forbidden. He honoured them for a job well done in their offices. My Oba self like Entertainment if u know him very well

  52. Is this the famous Oba Eradiuwa of Benin or an impostor? Will the real Oba please stand up? Because I can't believe the Oba will stoop so low!(apologies to MY TURN).

  53. Hello Linda,
Great work you are doing with ur blog.I would like to call ur attention to the Bini Kingdom spelling in ur write up,it is Benin kingdom not Bini Kingdom.Bight of Benin is our heritage and by wrongly spelling the name we might lose the heritage, pls apply correction in subsequent write up.Thanks

  55. we have reached a point in this country where we are moving backward instead of forward..too much tribalism especially on this blog....the people honored, even though not originally fro edo state are not political thieves but youths who have brought glory to nigeria....and are connected one way or the other to edo state...seeing the oba and being given royal gifts is different from chieftaincy tittle....a lot of accomplished edo people abound and honoring non indegenes is an act of unity and not to be seen as due to lack of worthy edos.....edos are in every sector in naija and doing great and of late marrying an edo spouse has become the standard in nollywood...i dnt think tuface is more accomplished than osaze odenwingie or all the edo footballers and coaches that have contributed immensly to the national team over the years...also in media,entertainment,banking,business,ministry,education,etc....nigerians should learn to accept that nationhood is not all about tribalism, nepotism, corruption, unhealthy rivalry and so on...the oba by his magnanimous act is pointing the way to the future for all of us..food for thought!!!
