Joe Biden vs Paul Ryan: US VP Debate

Vice-President Joe Biden, 69, and Republican Paul Ryan, 42, a Wisconsin congressman, clashed for 90 minutes in Danville, Kentucky, last night. Did you watch the debate? Who do you think won?

Meanwhile, I hear Romney is leading Obama in many states... though Obama so far has swing state strength. Two more presidential debates before the November elections and I hope Obama comes out swinging this time...

  11. Actually from what I've read, the real winner of the debate was Biden's dentist. His teeth were on display for the whole 90 minutes. I believe they now have a twitter account. :)

  12. I watched it, it was so engaging and issue based. Biden won but the young man Paul showed that he is not just a youth but a brilliant young lad. Both of them showed coherence in policy direction. Afterwards, just yesterday I watched the Ondo State governorship debate, it was all jokes from jokers. It was full of rhetorics, i couldn't even identify any succinct plan on how to change the statusquo from the three candidates. I was disappointed.

  15. I hope Obama looses this election. His position on moral issues leaves more to be desired. I like him as a person, as a black man, as a charismatic speaker. but then, I do not support his views especially regarding the HHS mandate that forces religious bodies and organisations to fund abortion-causing drugs. My humble opinion.

  16. Of course,Joe Biden won! And I don't care what anybody might say about his demeanour! :). You could see that he really enjoyed himself in the debate. What did it for me was his constant reference to Congress man,Ryan as "My friend here...", anytime he wanted to rebutt Ryan's statement. LOL. Grandpa Joe sure took Paul Ryan to school! 17. CNN poll says Ryan had 48% whereas Biden got 44%. LinLin why are you supporting Obama, what has he done for you, your family or even your country? Abegi both Obama and Romney are just like Jonathan, Buhari and Ribadu (Not Excatly What the Country Needs)

  18. Ironic one man dies at 69 another battles his way in politics at 69.Biden gave a good presentation, i pitied Paul Ryan looked like a little boy trying to play an adults role.

  19. i bet on all the debate ryan and rommey will win obama and biden...but i hope the face of new american president will be obama again..

  20. Nice one Linda I hope Obama comes out swinging this time around. But to be very honest both Obama and Romney are great guys for the job. But I believe Obama is the better option because Mitt is really making promises that he can not deliver on where as Obama is now very cautious with his promises but the combination of Obama and Biden is great and better than Romney and Ryan.

  26. Biden won the debate hands down. And while Romney is closing the gap in some states, Obama still has the overall lead especially in swing states such as Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Bottom line is, despite Romney's debate poll bounce, i'll still rather be Obama's place than Romney if i were a candidate.

  27. Obama as president was a dream come true for people of colour. The dream is over and the reality is that He most likely will lose to the white superiority.

Sorry whomever you are, your comments is truely whats wrong with America today. Mixing religion with Politics...I guess telling the truth is not christain (Romney is a lier). I don't want to continue to pay more taxes and have my social security and medicare horsed around with. I have paid into it too much to watch it gambled away. Read the Constitution and you will know religion is not part of the government.

Ryan had no details on what his ticket are going to do. Ryan and Mit will cut the deficit by 20%, but don't know which programs. They will reduce deductions for rich people, but not know which deductions. They will put Americans back to work, but can't provide the details...I say they have no PLANS.

Obama/Biden highlights on accomplishment: Regulation Reform 9Wall Street), Recreation of Consumer Protection agency, Repeal of DADT, Affordable healthcare, tax cut for middle income earners, Home Refinance Act, Killing Osama, Equal Pay for equal work for Women, should I go on...
