Dangote, Elumelu nominated for Forbes Africa Person of the Year '12

 
Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, and 3 other Africans have been nominated for the 2012 Forbes Africa Person of the Year award. The other three nominees are: Joyce Banda, President of Malawi. Dr. James Mwangi, Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director, Equity Bank Limited, Kenya, and Stephen Saad, Co-founder, Aspen Pharmacare.

Forbes Africa said the Person of the Year award would go to the person who has had the most influence on events in 2012.

  2. 54 Countries and 9 territories in Africa. And Nigeria produces 2 out of 5 candidates.
    We as a nation are so blessed! and yet some people would tell me they want to come to iya charlie land. foolishness! I dey come home joor.

  5. I thank God that someone from Nigeria got it, it signifies that we are still the lion of Africa. If only we can have such person like 50 in Nigeria then we are heading forward. He dedicates his time for business and building business empire. Look at him today. Am chilling out in my one bedroom ,in nnewi,no power for 3 months,its so hot ,,wth my hand fan am cooling off,,wen am done I will take my bucket ,go fetch water across d street shit n bath ,,life anaga ,,,one day I hope to be like dangote,,,my one room will turn t mansion,,my hand fan to air conditioner,,my bucket of water into bore hole for m community,,so God help me,,,,kyster
