3rd Mainland Bridge to be shut down tomorrow Sunday 14th

The Lagos State Government yesterday announced that the 3rd Mainland Bridge will be completely shut down tomorrow Sunday Oct 14th to allow the contractors to do the concrete casting of the expansion joints currently undergoing repair works on the Oworonshoki-bound section. The government explained that the concrete casting and drying process requires zero vibration, and that's why they are shutting down the bridge from 6.am to 12 midnight. So motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

  1. If they need more time Biko they should go ahead , maintenance in every country on projects like this is done yearly but here ------- am certain the bridge was almost in a state of collapse ,and to think that alternate routes are not better , kindly ride on Eko bridge Mr Minister of works just after Ijora , going to Apongbon there is a gully on the bridge that will swallow any car very soon or it would just give way yakata and cars would fall into the Ocean .
Let another set of people chop but rectify urgently .
