Have you heard both songs? Are there any similarities? Timaya is not saying anything, just re-tweeting! :)

  1. Is there any law against that? Or how does this deplete the groove already planted by P-Square? This shouldn't be an issue to note.

  34. Every thing in Niaja is almost a copycat: Gospel songs Artists copy themselves almost 20 times over; Nollywood copy Indian movies and re-stage them; Nigerian producers can't come up with original names to call programs, e.g, Nigeria got Talent, copied the name from America Got Talent; Nigeria Top Model, got its name from America Top Model; even the word: Nollywood is a copy of Hollywood and Bollywood. Even our JonaBaby wants to dey fly with 3 aircraft bcos him hearsay someone else dey do-wam for Oyibo land. So no bi big deal.

Linda, did you see the picture of a son of a politician in Bauchi State that uses N100 Million as sleeping bed? The picture break my heart o.

  54. Its sooo not the same. So wah they are tryna say is everyone that sings 'house music' copied each other.... When Tiwa savage came out with 'without my heart', didn't it remind u of 'love is wicked'... Buh the song was a hit... Cus innovation is the mother of creativity ...... And if u don't like it.. Go and sing ur own n not copy anybody.

  58. Linda, the controversy is bull..! The psquare boys must have serious haters around. There are no way in hell an objective person will listen to both songs and conclude that one copied the other. Both songs are different. Psquare's song is even better than Timayas.

I don't care about the musicians. I never heard both songs, until I visited your blog and read the comments. Then, I decided to listen to the songs. I heard Psquares' song first and then went to youtube and listened to Timayas. I came to the conclusion that there was no way Psquare copied Timaya. Both songs are different in both rhythm and lyrics.

If by chance, the rhythm used by a musician in a song appears briefly in another person's song, does not in any way shape or form mean that the person copied the musician. If that is the case, all these rappers, R&B singers, country music stars would be suing each other left, right and center. It means that no musician will ever claim originality, because whatever rhythm a musician uses, someone somewhere must have used it.

Going by the comments of some fellows here, one could as well conclude that chuddy in gaga crazy
and Timaya must must have copied each other, because the rhythm in Timayas also appeared in Chuddys. But I don't think that was the case.

I guess Timaya himself is not too sure about that, that's why he is just re-tweeting and not making a categorical tweet on that. People
    should stop formenting trouble unnecessarily.
