Rita Dominic announces theatrical release date for The Meeting

The Audrey Silva Company (TASC), a company founded by Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo has confirmed that October 19, 2012 is the date for the theatrical release of highly anticipated Nollywood movie The Meeting. Silverbird Distribution Limited will distribute the movie, which has generated much interest among film distributors in Nigeria.

The romantic comedy stars Rita Dominic and Jide Kosoko and features appearances by Kate Henshaw-Nuttal, Basorge Tariah, Nse Ikpe-Etim, and Chinedu Ikedieze.

“We are excited about this film because it is a truly Nigerian story that cuts across borders. Anybody anywhere in the world will find something about this film to like. We are not only introducing upcoming stars in Femi Jacobs and Linda I. Ejiofor but we are also showcasing a different and dynamic Rita Dominic,” said Managing Director of TASC Mildred Okwo of the company’s first cinematic offering.

A MORD Pictures production for entertainment company TASC, The Meeting is directed by Mildred Okwo, produced by Rita Dominic and Mildred Okwo and superbly written by Tunde Babalola. The story set in Abuja follows the trials of Lagos-based corporate executive Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs) who finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red tape and Cupid's arrow while in hot pursuit of a 'meeting' to secure a government contract.
The Meeting addresses an array of contemporary issues audiences are sure to identify with from love to African time, to the trials of tackling officials and manoeuvring red tape. It also brings together a stellar cast of Nollywood stars that are sure to draw audiences to the cinemas in October.
