Even if the Oba later showed up as some comments here claim, is the Oba not supposed to welcome the president in person outside his palace and take him inside? Should the president come in and begin to wait for him to show up? Who cares about that, the fact that they were stood up is what people are concerned about. Even if the Oba will have a private meeting with GEJ he will still welcome him to the palace. Then again i don't want to believe the "inner chamber" thing, it is just a way to save the president from international disgrace. In case you don't know if a whole Oba of Benin can stand the president up, some president of other "SANE" countries can do the same.
