Suicide video: millionaire arsonist Michael Marin takes poison in court

Former Wall Street banker Michael Marin was facing 7 to 21 years in prison after a jury on Thursday June 28th convicted him of deliberately burning down his $3.5 million Phoenix mansion after it failed to sell at a charity auction.

After being convicted of Arson, the 53 year old millionaire collapsed in court and died. Shocking video from inside the courtroom has now emerged which showed Marin putting something in his mouth immediately after the guilty verdict was read, he then fell to the floor a few minutes later in convulsions. Marin was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigators have now revealed that Marin killed himself by ingesting a poison sodium cyanide pill and it was all caught on tape. Marin also sent a delayed e-mail to his son before the verdict was read, talking about locations of wills and belongings should the courtroom outcome prove unfavorable. See the video of the tragic suicide after the cut...

  25. But wait oo, if the guy wants to burn his house how is that a crime, since he burnt it shouldn't that just free the insurance company so they don't have to cover anything, the rest should be his loss now. Why would that send him to prison for 7-21 years? Na wa sha

    1. The fire was supposed to look like an accident, they investigated and found out he set the fire in order To claim insurance money because he could no longer afford the monthly payments on the house. The house was not out rightly his to begin with, he took out a mortgage on the house as Is the case with most Americans, his actions are criminal hence the prison sentence

  26. Why suicide? the outcome of the verdict by the Jury might be something minimal of 7 years. No matter what no man have the right to take his own life because God is the giver of life...May God show him mercy

  32. Rashidi, he burt the house in order to get compensation from his insurance company. Some people do that when their houses are really old and no one wants to rent or buy it and it is a crime.

  33. Na real wa,he own his property and decided to set it ablaze, how is that a crime or any ones business?i can't understand this people and their system.Thank God am from Africa, the guy probably did't anticipate a jail term for his action.Buh is he really mentally okay, setting his house on fire does't look like something a sane person would engage in.
