Yes o. It is better to be checked than dead. I cannot remember when last I took a bag to church, what's the point when no bag is allowed inside the church premises. These days in Abuja, you just pick up your Bible and handset, Period. You also have to come to church with a hardcover Bible. No switching on of phones even to read soft copy Bibles, so that no one sends out text messages from the church. Mind you, the church check points can keep you outside until late, so if you want to make it early to church, you just have to leave the house earlier than usual. Even ladies' purses must be opened. B. H. has made going to church very stressful in Abuja.

More logistics needs to go into security rather than searching purses. Why not. Went to the museum the other day with my kid and some friends and everyone was scanned with an electronic detector so I do not see why churches in these times in 9ja should not do same. The only thing is one person carrying out this task is not adequate and they also require the electronic scanner wand - lot quicker and would detect anything on a person not just bags.

Linda, I wonder at some of the comments you approve, especially ones that are totally offensive and inciteful to people's religions. What is the point of approving comments if all manner of statements are allowed to fly?
