  50. Who said no tribalism in nollywood abeg there is.An example is AMAA AWARDS,soso tribalism for that award. They keep giving their favourites oly funke Akindele was able to grab one which of course she had to cos s he did well in TROJ and no ollywood actress brought movie then which made it easy.Any other yoruba actress won? NO!!

  55. I LOVE me some Bimbo Akintola as an actress! She has got to be the most underrated actress in Nollywood. I think what is probably keeping her back are a few things: lack of great scripts, a difficult personality and her weight. I am GLAD to see her return to what she loves to do and with an equally talented co-star. This is a film I will buy though I stopped putting my hard earned money into Nollywood because of their crappy movies.

    WELCOME BACK, BIMBO!

    ReplyDelete
  56. I love bimbo & rita dominic because they add professionalism & quality into acting not some overdo actresses

Paul Ojeih @ 1:25 PM, you are one of the reasons we are not moving forward in Nigeria. Nollywood belongs to Nigeria. WE are not jumping into carter bridge and am sure the only reason you know that bridge is cos you stay in Lagos. You are most welcome still.
You are calling us tribalistic cowards yet your comment stinks of tribalism.
For the love of humanity, do not be stupid.

wen u tell the yorubas the truth they don't take it too well,no be their fault if only the biafra war was a success biafra would have become a giant like japan, Indonesia, and Asian countries dat are picking up so fast no one wants toadress or talk about the monumental fraud in NNpc, Nitel, power holding and oil companies and the civil service i get to wonder which ethnic group call the shots in this ministries and parastals ya all know
now some fools are labeling me tribalistic wen the truth is starring them right in the face

    ReplyDelete
  63. Hrm paul Ojeih said u are very stupid for that statement anybody with his or her rightful brain wont say such and its like u have a mental disorder to open that ur big stinking no boundary pussy mouth to say what u like, if u don't know what to say shot that trash u call mouth up, OMO ale jati jati,i believe u are from Alameseiah family or Peter Odile,James and co which one? obun rata ma koyo.PIG

  64. Some of these commentators need to shit their frigging mouth up and stop spewing gibberish, especially those stupid tribally bigoted champions.
Igbo these. . . igbo that . . .na wa o. . We no go successful because some nitwit from other tribe feel insecured inadequate ni?
There are categories of movies based on language, igbo inclusive both if most Igbo producers choose to do their movies in English language to appeal to a wider audience how is that anybody's problem. I hate it when some insecure SWesterners especially cry about some fucking domination of Nollywood, HOW???
Most of the English movies done in Lagos have a good combination of every tribe, including this movie. Why cry about movies done in Enugu, Onitsha and Asaba in English?? Na them say make una do all una movie for una language alone, abi na them say make una no market una local movies beyond una boundries ni?
What exactly is Nollywood?? As far as the industry name goes, it includes both English movies and every other movie done in any Nigerian language, simple.
Yorubas to be precise are in the habit of complaining about not being given a chance in English movies even when it is obvious that they dominate the so-called English movies. Omotola, Joke Silver, Rachal Oniga, Rukki Sanda, Bimbo Akintola,Ramson Nouah, Olu Jacobs and many more of them acting in most of these new trend made for Cinema movies they shoot in Lagos and abroad rarely do wholly Yoruba movies, made their names doing mostly English, are they Igbos. Abi una wan tell me say all those Yoruba movies they do in lagos and Ibadan them dey com hire Igbo actors ni?? Una dey expect SE movie makers to hire Yoruba ppl for their films there? The difference between them and SW movie is very clear, one choose to limit themselves through language while the other choose to appeal to a wider audience and push their movies beyond SE, why una dey cry.
Abeg make Una stop the BS and step up una game.

  67. @Onyeama Patrick..
If only u practice what you preach..u just as bigoted..and Rachel Oniga..is igbo for the record..
If u weren't so bigoted you would have noticed some people from South East..South South Benin in Yoruba flicks!!..the ironic thing is..bet u reside on Yoruba soil or vicinity..

    ReplyDelete
  68. @Paul Ojeih
You are a bigger fool..the type who farts and cannot believe that foul ordour actually came from his own azz..for the Record..every ethnic group\tribe is corrupt in 9ja..given the chance...
Aren't South South and South East Governors some of the most corrupt in the land...are those places even inhabitable???..due to the result of endemic corruption..trust me u don't want to go there with me!!..leave the chest beating to the beer parlour..reality says sumthin else!!..ye ye dey smell

  69. Joy says
There is no full labelling you tribalistic. You are! the fact the Ojukwu failed doesn't mean one of you cannot rise up and try again o. You choose to base your argument on the hypothetical?! What Biafra would have been had Ojukwu succeeded? What is to say it wouldn't have been another Democratic Republic of Congo?
Seriously, go away! We are celebrating Bimbo Akintola. We also celebrate Genevieve Nnaji.

  72. Bimbo!!! I hope you are back and BACK FOR GOOD. We are quite tired of these 'over-hyped' 'uber-celebrated' 'serendipitous''mediocre' actors and actresses who are lapping at perceived fame and apparent success at frequencies unheard of... I don't blame them, it's because folks like you, Jane Azuh, Basorge Tariah, Amaeze Imariagbe, Stella Damasus, and a long list of others from the golden Age of Nollywood...the days of home movies somehow took a bow and left the stage. Please hang in there and enjoy this new wave that has hit Nollywood. Hopefully you will help to inspire folks to shed the 'celebrity' when on screen and focus on the art and the story telling... like it used to be. Much success to you in this movie!!

    ReplyDelete
  73. And I have it on good authority... a significant player in hollywood was not at all impressed with Ms Nnaji's performance in a movie I will not name, she is just a name that sells, she needs to stop being a celebrity whilst acting a script. It maddens me...

    ReplyDelete
  74. Lolz...hahaha! See OC my street guy o! Na xo ppl dey make d moni? Buh make u no allow dat yoruba slut spoil u oo...see hw she jux cary ha leg, place 4 ur body.OC use ur head oo,na der hobby b dat...Nd beside,na we dey run nollywood....proudly omo ibo till i die.
