    4. The weather forecasts we're accurate. Pple were supposed to stock food and stay indoors. This has absolutely nothing to do with govt's failure except in places where there r no drainages. But even in such cases u shldnt still blame dis govt cos Lagos had a master plan which was discarded eons ago. When they start demolishing all the illegal structures it's u pple dat wld still shout and wail.

Please I am willing to offer my services to any woman that wants to transport herself from one place to the other just like the picture above (sick joke, I know)
No mind me abeg. Anyway, I hope and pray this rain stops as it's affecting a lot of families. I hope the government can provide more than just advice for the less priviledged people to relocate as it's not easy and would require even more funds. Which family member nowadays will accommodate another man with his family?

  5. They are advicing people to stay at home when its raining.....very funny idiots! Instead of the idiots to call for work free day and make it compulsory they are here ADVICING peeps to stay home when its raining. So that when you stay at home, your office will now issue you a query for not coming to work based on an advice from God knows who...Just like what happened last year in one of those shitty telecomms companies that goes around bragging itself as the biggest in Africa...where some did not come to work cos they were stuck at home due to floods in their area and the management wanted to sack them based on that but later gave all the affected staff warning letters....puhleaseee! Federal, State, Local or whatever governments....get your acts together.

  14. -I hadnt finished before the last post went! How can they tell people to stay at home? Wasn't last year's rainy season like this? With Atlantic Ocean becoming guest inside people's homes? Is it rocket science to drain a conurbation like V.I, with exit access to the sea? Lastma, V.I.O, Flower Planting, Painting a bridge white and black etc This directive by Government is an Absolute Disgrace! Fashola has failed us - for 6years on this issue!!! You do not have my vote!

  15. Loss of what? Life or property? So if we relocate the rains won't fall abi? Besides where in this lagoon(lagos) is not flood prone?

  16. Where will they relocate to,and to stay in the house when raining..lol...with this kind flood...anyway I don't pity Nigerians o.we are the ones responsible for all the flooding problems.it will not stop till people stop building on the roads meant for drainage..ride on

    ReplyDelete
  17. When will people start thinking reasonably for themselves? Nigerians please stop looking up to receive from the government, and when you do receive, just thank God. If they didn't even tell you, shouldn't you know that it's for ur safety that you stay at home till ur safety is guaranteed? And please, always stock ur house for emergencies, no matter how little. I know we all want our government to sit up, but while they are at it, lets take good care of ourselves. Thank you.

  18. All of you have to write letters to the government and demand for better drainage system.

  19. This government should be ashamed for dishing that sort of advice out... Where should the whole lot move to?
This is not worth discussing. Until they put physical measures in place to solve the problem, we should just try to stay safe and put our lives in Gods hands.

  20. Thats a really stupid thing for the govt to say but in a way i dont blame them. The way these people build houses withiout any gutter is alarming and den d yeye govt has no drainage channel to connect to

    ReplyDelete
  21. Wot an advise...they should try and open up d drains and blocked canals .....

  26. If these flooded roads were tarred and drainage was functioning perfectly, these houses won't be flooded to this extent.it still balls down to the government's responsibility

  31. All that Fashola is doing a great job is all bull shit if the govt is not out there with makeshit canoes and plastic rafters to move people around.

It is embarrassing to see these photos in LAGOS of all places with all the hoopla about the great job that ACN is doing in Lagos. In thr country side in the U.S. we all see how the local fire fighters and their emmergency agencies come together and ferry people from point A to point B.

In LAGOS, men a carrying women on their heads and all the govt can say is for people to stay indoors or relocate till the flood is over. What an utter nonsense. What happens if that man slips and falls, both could easily drown.

Am seek and tired of all these propaganda about govt doing this, that and the other.

They need to come up with a plan when it comes to emergencies. Ya'll remeber the fatal Dana crash where the plane was left to burn for three hours becsuae it was too hot for the firefighters to get close. No water, not enough manpower.

And you guys want to go nuclear for electricity. The entire nation will die of radiation if God forbid it there's an accident.

This country is full of bullshit and misplaced priorities. The rains are not going to stop anytime soon.

PLEASE IF ANY OF THE REARDERS ON THIS BLOG ARE CLOSE TO BRF, THE SUPPOSEDELY OVER ACHIEVING GOVERNOR, PLEASE ADVISE HIM THAT LAGOS IS AN ISLAND AND BELOW SEE LEVEL, THEREFORE, HE NEEDS AN URGENT PLAN FOR FLOOD EMMERGENCIES OR HE CAN TELL HIS STUPIDEST GOD FATHER, THE THIEF AND FORMER CAB DRIVER IN ATLANTA GEORGIA, TINUBU TO PLEASE LET HIM COME UP WITH A PLAN FOR EVACUATIONS IN EMMERGENCIES LIKE THE FLOOD AND OTHER DISASTERS.
