Hehe! I guess nobody is above the law. Governor Fashola yesterday 'arrested' (more like confronted) two senior military officers who drove on the BRT lane at the Outer Marina in Lagos. The Governor was around the area when he spotted the military car driving on the Bus Rapid Transit lane which is meant strictly for the BRT buses, and came down from his own car to confront the men.
No arrest was made but the military officers were at least embarrassed by the confrontation.
SERVES THEM RIGHT! IF YOU FOR GOV. Fash, CAN I HEAR YOU SAY . . .'YEAH!!!
ReplyDeleteCool....
ReplyDeleteVery good!!! Nice onee!!
ReplyDeleteSounds good. Fashola for president 2015. Guys what do you think?

ReplyDeleteHaha. Linda the 2nd pic. Could easily pass for your 'photo of the day'
ReplyDeleteHis expression is to die for. Like what rubbish is this.
ReplyDeleteWhy was no action taken against him??? What was his reason???
ReplyDeleteEko ni baje o!!!!!!!!!!
Linda Ikeji abi na Linda Ikebe! Yaf start, o kwa ya? Why are employing cheap journalism tactics in the caption you have used for this article? You said Fashola "arrested"..... and then you ended the article by saying "No arrest was made." Na wah to you oo! Hmmmmmmm! Congrats by the way, on your nomination for that award. You dey try, buh dont get your ardent followers disenchanted ooo!
ReplyDeleteLawlessness na new thing 4 naija? Naija remains kpafukard!
ReplyDeleteLawless human beings! Mcheeww.
ReplyDeleteHe should have arrested them cos no one is above the law.we need someone like fashola as the president but unfortunately naija will never let him cos he will be dead if he tries that
ReplyDeleteCorrect Governor! One of our biggest issues in Naija is the fear of confrontations! Nigerians would rather look the other way instead of speaking out against wrongdoing. In fact, many lawmakers would not step out of the luxury of their cars to help their own people......
ReplyDeleteServes 'em ryt!!! If the governor is patient enuf, y can't they be? Fashola is truly working!!!!
ReplyDeleteGov Fashola sees everything and is everywhere!Big brother of lagos,lol...Beware he's watching!
ReplyDeleteWow... governor Fashola has changed Lagos state for good. This shows that nobody is above the law, if you are running late for your duty that's your personal business, you don't have to break the city rules. Good job Governor
ReplyDeleteGood 4 dem.
ReplyDeleteDats unfair naah
ReplyDeleteI love dis man buh 'he' alone can't do the job. God bless Lagos. God nourish 9ja
ReplyDeleteLoooolz see salutation,Fash did a mistake he should have asked him to do a frog jump, coz dats what they always subject people. This is a clear case of DEVIL KNOWS HIS MATE trust Fashola to beat the traffic after dis scene.Naija for u.~BONARIO~says so via NOKIA3310.
ReplyDeleteI jst love dis man...bt pls he shld com n do okota rd. Abeg!

ReplyDeleteHaha, dat serves the military men rite.dat shows dat nobody is above d law.Av not seen Fashola himself take dt brt lane b4,so hw hury d military man may b.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best governor lagos can eva have
ReplyDeleteDan Katsina
ReplyDeleteWow...!! Sincerely speaking i'm impressed that the governor had to stop and address the colonel personally....irin kai yazaka bi hanyar da doka tahana *angry face*, and he was lyk "morning sir am sorry it woun't repeat itself again...... Adinga jin magana
Corruption and lawlessness start at the top. If these people can't obey rules, how do they expect people down the chain to obey these rules? Pathetic!
ReplyDeleteHe tried to be disciplinary but civil at the same time! It was at least commendable of him to notice and even stop.
ReplyDeleteBlue print for a successful courtship- http://princessofzion.wordpress.com/2012/07/14/courtshipwhat-is-it-how-do-i-do-it-right/
This is no coincidence.
ReplyDeleteThats my Man!
ReplyDeleteHim for tell them make dem do small frog jumb!!! heeheehee!
Lawmakers..Lawbreakers!
Nice one!!!
ReplyDeleteLWKMD...Good for them! if it was an ordinary citizen the army officials would arrest them without confrontation.Thank you Fashola
ReplyDeleteHehehe! I wish they could treat other dignitiaries like this. They always feel like they can break the rules cos they are what they are. *hiSs* ntoi!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is novel for the action Governor who demonstrated leadership by example. How i wish he could be the next President.
ReplyDeleteI so love fashola,no body is above the law..
ReplyDeleteCan't stop laffing.
ReplyDeleteLwkM!!! Mehn, I love this man (Y)
ReplyDeletego gov go gov asin soldier think say dem be above law??? oti ohhh
ReplyDeleteThat goes a long way to show that Nigeria is far from getting better... Nothing paints a better picture to show that some pple are actually above the law and untouchable..SMH..
ReplyDeleteGod bless him for this
ReplyDeleteWish he could run for president
ReplyDeleteCHI
I wish Rotimi Amaechi confronts these so called men in uniform, they are d actual road traffic nuisance we have here in Rivers State.
ReplyDeleteFashola 4 President!
ReplyDeletedat is nice 4 dem..from ogono nokia e6
ReplyDeleteThat was a nice one by the Gov but its not really all about confronting these so called untouchables.making an arrest would have fully cleared my doubts because you have ordinary citizens who are arrested when they make same mistake.are we now trying to say some people are above the law?these common men pay taxes also and as such deserve the same treatment melted out on the Army official.kudos to the Gov who at least confronted but he could have done better.
ReplyDeletePls the correct thing to do is to impound thier car like they would have done to any normal citizen.why do we have two set of rules in Nigeria, one for "the haves"
ReplyDeletend the other for "the have nots"
At least he exercised common sense by not throwing them in Jail or slapping them...as some governors will do..47vids.com (if only we could just take over everything and get rid of that Jona)
ReplyDeleteErm lindalicious linda,e be like say dem arrest them ooo.fashola no fit free dem like dat nahh.case don reach army authorities sef
ReplyDeleteBRF for life! Eko o ni baje!
ReplyDeleteYes o and Ikorodu roads needs his touch too. Power situation is also terrible.....we still love him sha
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone buy this?Just when the state is about to pass a law full of ridiculous sentences for traffic offences, our dear governor is seeing getting a traffic offender in uniform off a BRT lane. Yeah right!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's all propaganda, I don't believe no one can see thru it.Lagosions are apparently not as smart as they think they are. Even my one year old niece understands this.
Anon 11:54,STFU!!!!
ReplyDeleteONOME says....
ReplyDeleteNigeria has a myriad of problems.Lawlessness abounds uncheckered.
Hope this sets the pace for some sort of orderliness in Lagos.Welldone Fashola.
Eko o ni baje
ReplyDeleteYes. They should have been arrested - at least by Military Police.
ReplyDeleteAnd it should be a permanent mark on their record.
Sorry to be the one who breaks the chain of glowing feed back, but the spate of armed robbery is on the constant rise in lagos... do you know why? becuase fashola is treating the symptom not the problem... its good to paint and beautify lagos, but when u do this how much unemployment are you causing and what measures are you putting in place to make sure that people are not turning to a life of crime...
ReplyDeleteIm sorry but fashola is a big fish in a small pond, if u really want accolades, take a longer step out
Let's leave the individuals, focus on the crime and face the fact! I'm indifferent bout Gov. Fashola cos I don't know him personally but the abuse of law starts from the top.
ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful. At least let them understand that nobody is above the law
ReplyDeleteNow, that is how it's done!!
ReplyDeleteOh my God!I love this picture so much, and why was he saluting? Ode oshi see his water belly.
ReplyDeleteI like dis guvnor,na u biko. Fashola 4 put dem inside d zoo, yeye army officers
ReplyDeletewise sss official.wen e reach a col turn dem stand dey watch d ordinary pple as if na dem b d only ppl capable of harming d gov.
ReplyDeleteWhy dem no bundle d col into one of their cars as dem go domif na a commoner?
Dem no say d fear of d army na d beginging of wisdom.
Thank u fash,i don't live in ur state anymore but the wonders of ur hands is heard far and wide and for the time i came for business i personally notice the change
What a good start, ever since when fashola took over the gov. Sit , he've been trying all his posible best to make lagos a better place.
ReplyDeleteSo lets assist him by obeying the laws.
Eko o ni baje oo.
Good job boss
ReplyDeleteGood job Gov wish u can do dis every mornin
ReplyDeleteIf only there was a fashola in every state....*sigh* You Lagosians are enjoying!!!
ReplyDeleteWell i find no fault with the governor but the stupid Colonel who disgraced himself and the Nigerian Army by coming down from his car. The position of governor can only be occupied by a Major or at worst a Lieutenant Colonel...And he went ahead and payed compliment, by saluting. I'm not advocating for non-compliance with the Law, but it was an Official car and he was flying his flag. Maybe those conversant with how the Military operates would know better.
ReplyDeleteBro.Ivery much agree with you.I understand.Colonel Yusuf felt he was wrong cos if he were right he would have pumped some bullets into the bloody civilian's chest.
DeleteBRF has no right to designate a federal road for specific state users. But he has all the right and resources to construct kilometers of road to ease the ever nauseating traffic jam in Lagos.
