Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are getting divorced after 5 years of marriage. Katie's attorney, Jonathan Wolfe released a statement saying, "This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family."
Wolfe adds, "Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."
It's unclear if divorce papers have been filed with the court. Tom and Katie have one child together, Suri, who is 6-years-old.
Jeez! Now, I didn't see that coming. Did you? So after that jump on Oprah's couch, they couldn't make it work?

That guy put her career to a complete stop and she is finally breaking away. Now that's one divorce I'm happy about.

It started out like a lovely fairy tale but I think it soon turned into a nightmare because dude is famously CONTROLLING! The only benefit to that marriage for her was more money and increased fame BUT other than that, I feel she lost more than she actually gained with reference to her career. She probably thought marrying him would help catapault her career to the next stratosphere but it didn't especially after that jump on the couch and the Matt Lauer Scientology centered interview.
ReplyDeleteIt must really hurt her to see Michelle William's career soar so high and she (Katie) had been the break out start of Dawson's Creek NOT Michelle. I don't know if she can gain back that momentum she had after all the flops she's had one famously being the Jackie Kennedy Onassis story.
I wish her luck but I don't pity her. She didn't go into this marriage blindly, she is richer than she went in so she made her bargain.

ReplyDeleteThis is what know, the key here is Suri. Katie has filed sole custody. Not joint. It can't be joint. Yes, I know that Tom and Nicole had joint custody but how did work out for Nicole? Yeah, you think she even gets calls from her kids? I don't think so! Joint custody with Scientology?How can Tom Cruise tell all those broken up families they can't talk to their kids or ex spouses because they are SP, and yet continue to see Suri unless she is with him all the time. Now, here is where things get interesting. Is Tom going to fight? Probably not. We wouldn't want to see the real reason he can't have joint custody. Not just Scientology, but also a DNA test might come into play too and i believe hes not the father. The whole marriage and baby was a set up.The time was now to end things. Suri starting school in the fall and a complete brainwashing was going to be inevitable. It is also no coincidence that the announcement was made while Tom was filming in Iceland. Pretty tough to pap him or ambush him there. If your spouse was asking for sole custody don't you think you would fight that? This should put an end or reveal shud I say all the rumours re him being gay and not d Suris father.....bcos he is NOT dat Childs father! Katie was already pregnant for another actor when they got married, some mixed Chinese American who's name escapes me now.... So d arrangement worked out for d both of them
