PDP Chieftain, wife, son murdered in Plateau

Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Sharubutu Ward of Bachit District of Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, John Baren, his wife and young son, were killed on Wednesday June 27th at Gwarim in Rim village by gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.

The family was attacked and hacked to death with machetes on Wednesday afternoon as they were returning from the funeral of a relation in Riyom, Plateau state. The gunmen first shot at them, then dragged them into a nearby bush where they were murdered.

The Barens weren't the only ones killed that day, the fulani herdsmen also attacked Gwarin village in Rim District of the council, killing quite a number of people.

  11. Its all the fault of this useless govt and legislature we have today.........I really don't see anything sensible in what Johnathan is doing; he is politically gambling with the lives of innocent nigerians, every second he refuses to declare a STATE OF EMERGENCY in all the trouble states of the northern nigeria.
I know GEJ will never do that cos if removes these northern governors and replaces them with a Military Administrator...(Who has what it takes to instill law and order in these states)...His 2015 presidential ambition will suffer in the hands of the north.....especially in the hands of these governors......when canvassing for votes in 2015.
GEJ is a bundle of dissappointment to most nigerians......
And I know that by the special grace of God his presidential ambition won't be achieve able.......Amen!
