Nigerian breaks academic record at Johns Hopkins University

A 22 year old Nigerian has emerged the best graduating student of John Hopkins University in the US. Emmanuel Ohuabunwa from Arochukwu, Abia State obtained a Grade Point Average of 3.98 out of a possible 4.0 to earn a degree in Neurosciences. Emmanuel is the first black man to make this Grade in the university.

For his efforts, he has won a scholarship to Yale University to pursue a degree in medicine. He has also been inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Society, a prestigious honour group that features membership of 17 US Presidents, 37 US Supreme Court Justices, and 136 Nobel Prize winners. (Punch)

    1. WTF r u talking about? If he was in nigeria would he have amounted to anything wt the kind of system we have in place in nigeria where everything possible is being done to frustrate the hell out of the average student. The US has provides an opportunity for any hard working n dedicated person to realise their full potential n nigerians like him have taken full advantage of it thereby leading to brain drain in nigeria. The sooner ur nigerian government realises the potential nigerians have n put together proper infrastructure to help them realise it, they will keep running to where their potential can be realised n be appreciated. If the US wants to take him away, i'm in full support. What do u want him to come n do in nigeria? If he was in nigeria, would he have achieved as much as he has now n can u imagine, a full scholarship to Yale. Can it ever happen in nigeria? If na ur bro nko? Will u in all honesty tell him to come back to nigeria? Abeg we need to be telling ourselves the truth sometimes. Bros, do ur thing n reach whatever heights u can n make use of whatever opportunities available to u n give back to d country wjo helped make ur dreams possible(US) n not one dt would have killed it(Nigeria).

Do you how many Professors died in Boko Haram bombings? etc. I dunno what he is coming to do in Naija o. To come and collect #150,000 like normal graduates while the lawmakers cart away millions in a month? Pls he should just stay there and start a new life and forget abt the word and name Nigeria. He just erase Naija out of his memories coz we don't have anything good to offer meritus. God bless the boy and his family and thanx for making us proud. God bless you IJN. Amen. The only solution Nigeria problem is Revolution, but we are all scared to die, instead we are fighting for renaming of Unilag when corruption, insecurity, bad governance is @its peak. 62. Good for the Young Man...But, I thought people would talk about the Fraternity he has also been inducted into -- well, if he accepts the Phi Beta Kappa Society thingy.

If you do well, must you join a fraternity??? All the whites know is to strengthen their world conspiracy bodies and recruit new people that would bring fresh ideas to ruining the world.

Good that he succeeded well, but joining the Frat thingy is not a good bargain, even if US governments were produced from Frat Organizations. The Government is a legal cult that peeps cannot handle.

Few years later, we would see him handle bigger positions, doing things outside his plans and God's purpose. I pray it doesn't happen that way.

How I wish he wouldn't join the Phi Beta Kappa Society.
