At least I'm better than this one...lol

At least me I wore a jumpsuit to speak at a seminar, see what Ashanti wore to speak to 7th and 8th graders of Atlanta City High School about the importance of staying in school and surrounding themselves with a strong support system of friends and family. If it's Nigeria naw, you will say she should wear a suit. *hiss* :-)

  19. Abeg Linda don't mind 9ga people...The jumpsuit u wore to the seminar is perfect if your were to twit it up a bit u only needed a blazer....

As for Ashanti please don't go there girl ur over educated and more responsible than she is. More over most of the celebs here don't have a sense of dressing to appeal to a certain crowd.

If there was someone to blame i would blame the principal of the school. He or she should have sent her back, na public school now let her try to go to a private or catholic school like that and see what will happen.....it only shows you that she probably fit right in with the 12th graders......smh

  33. I would have preferred to see you in a nice, knee lenght, fitted dress at that seminar. To show off that model figure. I bet you were not feeling yourself either when you saw pictures of yourself in that drab jumpsuit.

Anyways, compare yourself with Mrs Obama, going forward. Stop downgrading yourself darling

  34. I still like what you wore ..don't care what the others said. Naija is too hot for a jacket so I dnt even support the jacket idea. Maybe a colourful chunky necklace perhaps?

  41. Err.. this isn't appropriate in ANY society so it's not an issue of culture, people. Unfortunately I have a feeling Ashanti doesn't know that. There are lots of places in America where you can get queried for not dressing appropriately and I'm pretty sure some people had their reservations considering the theme of her speech.

  49. Linda, no decent school in the US will even allow Ashanti to speak to the children. It is definitely a school in the projects or the ghetto (where parents could care less about the education of their children) that will even allow her to speak to the children.
PS. I'm not even going to comment on what she is wearing.

Linda, you and Asanti are not in the same League(of business)and she no go fight if someone says she is not a role model.....lol! there is no excuse for wearing a jumpsuit to a seminar *as a speaker*.no one is asking you to wear a suit! a blazer on the jumpsuit would have been better, a shirt on a skirt or nice a dress would be proper)shikena! Ask and/go research what is proper for every occasion or event.its like going to the white house for a meeting and not knowing what*proper* to wear.Take cues from Ophrah,Michele Obama, Hilary clinton (wey u dey aspire to be in the same role model clique with)lol!,even Kim Kardashian sef dresses properly for interviews/talk show, let alone a seminar. you made fashion blunder, accept it, learn and move on.if u like no post my comment.....toungue out

Pls what correction should she take??? She wore a black sleeveless jumpsuit if I remember, she is a blogger by occupation if i also remember, so WHAT IN HELL IS WRONG WITH U PEOPLE!!! DOES SHE BLOG IN SUITS? THE PEOPLE WHO INVITED HER KNEW WHAT SHE LOOKED LIKE AND THE NATURE OF HER JOB BEFORE LEAVING ALL UR SUIT-WEARING ASSES TO GO N INVITE HER!!!!!

HALF OF THE NIGERIAN 'SO-CALLED' PROFESSIONALS IN SUITE ARE DULLARDS, how has dat helped our economy... the people driving the world economy today ARE HARDLY IN SUITS... and sane people get it... suits r merely a signal of whateva u decide it represents to u, it is not the message....u better decide which to follow.

Pls carry ur half-fed correcting minds elsewhere if u have no relevant issues to raise.

  70. Ernm madam you see life.....be open to criticism madam Linda we all live to learn each day, wearing a jumpsuit to a seminar is rather insulting if you ask me, if i was at a seminar and you were speaking dressed like that i'd rather not take you seriously. what everyone is trying to say is show some professionalism and how can u compare yourself to Ashanti tho....that like using her to right your wrong....serzly tho you should think sometimes, theres really no humour in what you said....and by the way being a blogger does not make you less than a person who seats in an office all day for you to wear a jumpsuit. Next time jeans, a nice blouse, blazer and pumps will do...thank you.
