ReplyDeleteI personally do not subscribe to having 2 ceremonies as regards multi-cultural unions, a good marriage must consist of compromise, both parties cannot have their way and that is the beginning of confusion. But then again, who am I? Maybe this union will bring us a step closer to resolving our religious differences. Just hope funke will not be angry when he picks up wife #3, as his religion permits him to.

I dream of a day when Nigerians will be simply HAPPY for someone rather than judge their choices. She chose to marry a muslim and they also decided to have both a Nikkai and Church wedding because that's what suits them. Now let them be and stop trying your best to decide which religion is best. We've all chosen our faiths, let us face the consequences when the time comes rather than trying to force your beliefs on to others.

Some are church goers and some are Christians. Not all church goers are true disciples of Christ. I am disappointed in her sha. Must all nollywood babes marry someone else's husband? Is there a curse on them? Na so men scarce for Nigeria? I tire for all these people. What happiness will you get from stolen item? ReplyDeleteno offence but unless you are from Sierra Leone(the religious tolerance there is unrivalled) these mixed faith marriages are disasters waiting to happen....i say Sierra leone because the two faiths have co-existed and intermarried for decades and its no big deal there almost every christian family has a muslim great grandparent and every muslim family a christian great grandparent etc and they celebrate each others holiday like Eid and christmas....

Before the court if the man in question (Funke`s hubby) marries anyone in a civil ceremony, he will be arrested for bigamy. He can only have a traditional union with as many women as he wants which even the law recognises.
Funke has decided to marry a Muslim, it is her choice. If she wants to be a third or tenth wife, still her choice.
BUT please which church is shamelessly marrying a woman whose Husband isn`t planning to live under Christ.
