Linda, I can assure you that this is not a Nigerian airport. There is no preference out here. If Fashola wants to board a plane in the US, he would have to take off his shoes and Belt. Nothing about humility there. I recently was on the first class queue with Simon Cowell in Chicago O'Hare and He removed his shoes. Thats the way things ought to be done.
hmmmm....nasty girl!!! @ anon 12:56. Please Gov. Fashola can you adopt me? I want a cool man like you as a father... father ooo not sugar daddy. The one I have?.....I praise God for him....
Linda, Linda, Linda, the question is; Is this a Nigerian airport? Cos it doesnt look like it at all. If na for Naija, even though he's not a gra-gra kinda man, but he wont be in the queue for sure as they'll whisk him thru VIP area.

Dem dey talk about Fashola and you dey mention Simon Cowell. Are you delusional? Lagos State governor in comparism to a stupid Brit. The fact fact that he is carrying his own bag speaks volume compare to other stupid governor's in Nigeria.
Biko, why so salty? Calling someone a stupid Brit and another a fool on top wetin nau? Is that u in that profile pic? I hoping not cos this comment sounds like something coming from a child. She made reference to Simon Cowell because he's a big man in his own right, his name is bigger than Fashola's even so what are u on about?
Same attitude Nigerians have when NEPA finds it in the right place to give you light and you all shout "up NEPA" for what you pay for. What is the humility in gov Fash carrying his bag and queuing? It is the normal right thing to do and we have been so pushed that we don't know right from wrong anymore. Obama carries his bag and even goes to shop for his kids, he buys pizza and carries it back to give his staff and it is not a big deal. I applaud Fash and the like of former gov. Duke but we need more from govt and public official.
I hope he has some security looking after him in the background. He is still a governor. In other western countries they might be on their own but they have their security in the background official business or not. Even Margaret thatcher still has security around her.
Guys this is not about how things ought to be, looking at how his colleagues in nigeria behave to airport staff, like femi fani kayode, whom i saw on TV troubling airport officials, its a commendable effort, am not in lagos But I've seen much about the exception qualities of this man, please let's encourage him so that others will follow suit
Err... Firt anonymous. A man constantly refuses to sleep with u and u had the guts to come here and say it? Buhahahahahahahahahahahaha. Shameless tramp."Me and ur girls. Maybe his glasses have HIV and STD detection powers and he can spot urs from miles. U better go and find a day job. He asked u to go to grad school. Meaning u have a first degree. And u have decided that prostitution is the way to go? Tueh!
It's not so much of a security problem outside Nigeria/Africa.
I agree that this really is a down to earth approach to life. Many people with power and affluence travel with a large entourage, whether or not they have to follow airport protocol like everyone else.
So?whats news about this?cos corruption has eaten deep into this useless country so everything is a big deal.Very soon u will publish Fashola spotted eating by himself and it will become news.RUBBISH!
Awww, ds guy is sooooo ideal. i wish he doesnt change n he gets to be president of Nigeria soon. i just love him to piecesssss. will gladly be his 100th wife if i have to!!
@vaughn samuel i beg make we hear word..."i was on first class queue" who cares ...stick to the blog topic which is fashola...and yes if it was it in a western country no big deal nobody cares bout your status except maybe you are president of a country.
And what is the story here? He is queuing, is he not meant to queue? Linda it is this type of ass licking comment that puts you in trouble all the time. Tomorrow now, you are the same one who will point out his faults.

So am not alone (1st comment) Am in luuuuurrrrrrvvvvv. Would like to give him the best head he ever had and while at it swallow every bit of his humble cum then send him off fully energized on his merry way.
Sometimes some people talk crap sha. The guy is very humble and does'nt have time for frivolities. As a Governor, he does'nt have to queue on the line. Protocol allows him to board last.(right at the tarmac, assuming its a domestic flight) But he is showing you that if he can do it so can you. Thats the way it should be! Leadership by example. Thats why those old school men in ACN can never understand him. I have a lot of respect for this guy.As a matter of fact, when i travel, i see all sorts of inappropriate behaviours that are very shameful, perpetrated by our so called leaders both politcans and spritualleaders.SMH

That's how it should be. It shouldn't be surprising at all. all government workers are public servants, and should be humble enough to act like every other human being, because they are exactly just like every other human being. But kudos to him for displaying such humility, which is completely non-existent in Nigeria.
Some of you guys dont unerstand wat linda is trying to say..... yh its right in every part of the world but how many how our leaders in Nigeria do dis???? A few, i must say and Fashola is one,u guys should applaud the man SIMPLE!!! He'll have undercover security most def.!!! He's a Governor

this is not a nigerian airport so what did you guys expect him to do go and show that he is the governor and jump the queue or what who cares unsure why this is news linda!!!
This is not a Nigerian airport. That's why he's in the queue and holding his own bag. People should stop this spin. Which part of the MMI airport looks like this? Abeg!
That picture doesn't look as if it was taken i Nigeria....Am sure he was in a country where law and order is the norm. They all behave themselves when they come abroad, but turn to madmen the moment they step into naija......That's why I respect the west, everybody is equal before the law.
Well, I once saw the Speaker of the House of Reps - Aminu Tambuwal, at the MMA2 (domestic airport) in Lagos. He queued up to board a Dana airline flight to Abuja and he was carrying his own bag. One man recognized him and rushed to help him with his bag but he refused. The man was even trying to get him to shunt the queue but he refused and stayed in line. I was definitely impressed. I remember in the days of Bankole, he hardly ever flew commercial. Strictly private jet, with a retinue of aides and security personnel. This is what leadership should portray - humility in service to the people.
Ironically, on the same day, I saw a woman at the Aero check-in queue, who was making a fuss about the staff not giving her preferential treatment because she had a business class ticket and complaining loudly that if her husband were with her, they would be falling over themselves. I was truly irritated by the woman. Obviously one of those uncouth nouveau riche people, who show that money can never buy class.
I've always said it. This should be our president. I hope we open our eyes and save ourselves from destruction by voting him in when the time comes. Carry go my governor. Naija o ni baje o... o ba je ti.
There ll always b u dr cover security but he must go thru due process ... Anyway fashola I heard frm his very very close friends he is very humble n normal , he has not charge frm his formal sef
BRF is amodel governor.I admre him alot.his works as seen every where in lagos.Even an average lagosian knows that BRF is working , yet he is not mouthy, he is reserved, humble and focused.I like the guy die!!!!
BRF is amodel governor.I admre him alot.his works as seen every where in lagos.Even an average lagosian knows that BRF is working , yet he is not mouthy, he is reserved, humble and focused.I like the guy die!!!!

People are funny... Being governor of Lagos state means squat outside the shores of Nigeria. Heck, even being President of Nigeria means nothing once your time in office is over. Heck on top of Heck, I remember when George Bush was President, his mother, Barbara had to remove her shoes to go through airport security in the states.
Now if Fashola is truly humble and what not, let him go live in Ajegunle in a face me I face you as most people of Lagos State do, then we'll know he is humble.
One time, my friends and I met Peter Obi in Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, we refused to believe he was the one, because he sat down @ d waiting lounge and we could not spot his retinue of aides.
We dared my friend and he went to meet Peter Obi and they got talking and exchanged cards.
When Peter Obi's flight was announced, we saw his aides who were in strategic positions in d waiting lounge get up and follow him.
Nothing new here- quite a lot of Nigerian officials are humble but why would you want to go through the stress of being harassed by immigration and drugs officials who don't even treat you with courtesy at the airport when you are leaving the country??? Leaving is harder than entering Nigeria!!!!
I guess people are not used to seeing a governor in the queue. You can even see the distance between him and the other poeple in the queue, thinking, what is this man doing here!
This is him o. i have had the opportunity of seeing go through the same thing in Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport. He refuses preferential treatment. So those of u doubting weda itz a Nigerian Airport or not? thats ur ansa.
True talk @ Prof x he might just have odieshi dat detects , what with his issues with tinubu ,kuforiji and the others na one runs girl with the full package of STD, HIV ,MAGUN , that will fall his hand , really he is humility personified met him once as we, were on the same flight ,of course me in my economy class jejely and fellow nigerians , but hmmmm at the baggage reclaim in Heatrow airport come see nigerians falling over trying to shake him , some who went to uniben with him trying to reconnect , power sweet ooh no bi small , no hanger on trying to carry ehim load , na him jejeley waka commot .okay bye .
@Adele, Demeji Bankole is a very humble guy. He just got carried away by those corrupt ogbologbos like David Mark. He's still a very humble guy, you cant take that from him. He's pedigree speaks volumes too.(check his CV) Thats why a lot of us were mad at him for falling into that bad gang. He represented our generation. Pray he bounces back into rekconing.
9ja is soooo corrupt that pple dnt even know wat is normal and wat is not. Imagine a deputy gov's convoy wit over 8cars, wat does dat preach? Thank God we still av some sane pple in dis country. Fashola has singled himself out of d corruption menace that has laid siege on dis country. Tho we dunno his own flaws too but @least he has some acceptability within d populace. I think our leaders re just insane! And 4 d whore spreading her legs all over Alausa plz tell her 2 find a better job cos very soon dos in2 dos prostitution will go in2 extinction.... 9ja 4ward ever backward never!!!
@Adele, if what you said about the Honourable Speaker is true then my respect just went up for him another notch. Mnwyl, everybody knows that Bankole had an air around him... Effin fool
Lol @ protocol stating you can board last... Must be in Naija and only in Naija. Over here, you can be on a flight IN economy class next to your congressman, your senator or even your governor. Heck, numerous people have flown next to justices of the US Supreme Court, even the chief justice sef, in a commercial flight, in economy class. Yes, all of them go through all the same protocol an average every day joe goes through.
It is in naija that foolish ego makes people think they are special.
It is sad this is a topic. Today what is big in the news in dublin, Ireland is and I quote , 'the reasons why Nigerians are loud'. We are always in the news for funny reasons . The Shadow minister of defence today said 2/3rds of nigerians live on less than a pound a day. I say interesting
First commenter, you are a DOG! the way Lagos girls go around trying to sleep with big men is something really pathetic. Why cant girls maintain dignity nowadays, and are the ones now chasing men?? Imagine someone I know recently saying that she wishes she had that tiro jazz stuff girls put on their eyes so that she can catch one man like that.(and she is married o) , so that she will be using it, so I have decided to cut off such lowlifes from my list of friends. ladies, please lets embrace being respectable women. Imagine the governor telling you that. Girls, get a life, a career and stop preoccupying yourselves with looking simply dulling up yourselves and waiting to be whisked off by some big man.'
@ anonymous March 13, 2012 9:17 AM. you too you are a dog also. Believe it or not, no matter how beautiful you are as a young woman, you will age and grow old.( if your sins don't kill you before that intended time). interestingly, there will always be young girls, perhaps like you are now that these old men will rather have at that time, (Rather than an old doggy hags that you would have become then) . The only thing that will stand the test of time is your integrity, dynasty and a properly built career (if you have done any one these) so, keep on prostituting yourself and looking older by the minute. harlots!!!
He wasnt in the queue joo, all the guys aroun him are his people. Hakeem Bello, Fisayo Ishola, Rasheed Murhi Okunola. So they are carrying his other bags. Fashola is not really humble, hes diplomatic and playful with people he likes and trusts. Yeah his ADC opens his car door for him. And the girl wanting to sleep with him? U ll tey for there, he has eyes only for his wife and a yellow woman he has dated since being a chief of staff, she works in Alausa too
@anon 12:56am u shld be ashamed of urself, anyway why will i bother since its obvious u are a prostitute 4 life, douchebag like u. go sell ur wares to some other douchebags like urself. akuna akuna 10k. hope say u don kary ashewo work build house 4 ur parents 4 village kos very soon madness will kom wen u r very old & kant open ur saggy body anymur, ozu, eku like u
Linda! this is so not a big deal, i traveled first class on emirates and had the Rivers state governor on the same flight, he was flying with his children and he is humble, even sat on his luggage and played with his kids while waiting to board when we got to nigeria, still no aides, just got his luggage out himself and that was that. that is humility. bee
Yes, if that is an airport abroad, our leaders are very humble.
Part 1: Can you imagine I met our own former defence minister gen danjuma in the UK some time ago, and we were in the lift together, couldnt believe it,cos he behaved like a real gentleman cos if its in naija who born monkey to even smell where e dey with all the security over sabi details around him. As if that is not enough, we got through to immigration and those officials for some unknown reasons, drilled the man tire with questions that even me that got off couch was done with immigration in no time.
Part 2: Got to lagos airport on my return and who did i see? madam daisy the wife and daughter with so many huge sealed luggages and our annoying yes sir yes ma naija soilders in uniforms acting in their gra gra manners loading and pushing all the luggages away, i just shake head carry eyes commot.
So people, yes our leaders are very humble abroad, but to oga fash, well, e dey try for humility!
He's got nothing to be afraid of. This man has plenty of my respect. I dont care what people say about. people said the same of Jesus Christ & Mohammed.
I respect Fashola because this is one of the few men that truly care about the people and Nigeria as a whole. He's very cool, humble, and intelligent . I pray God will continue to keep him and his family.
Yes he is extremely humble. I tried everything to sleep with this man. He didnt gree o. When a lot of his mates/coworkers call my gurls and I on a regular. ReplyDeleteLINDA WE VE NOT FORGOTTEN OH! WE ARE STILL AWAITING OUR APOLOGY OR SUSAN P IS MORE IMPORTANT TO YOU ABI? IF YOU LIKE DON'T POST MY COMMENT. Ijeoma
ReplyDeletethis is not a nigerian airport so what did you guys expect him to do go and show that he is the governor and jump the queue or what who cares unsure why this is news linda!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is not a Nigerian airport. That's why he's in the queue and holding his own bag. People should stop this spin. Which part of the MMI airport looks like this? Abeg!
ReplyDeleteThat picture doesn't look as if it was taken i Nigeria....Am sure he was in a country where law and order is the norm. They all behave themselves when they come abroad, but turn to madmen the moment they step into naija......That's why I respect the west, everybody is equal before the law.
ReplyDeleteWell, I once saw the Speaker of the House of Reps - Aminu Tambuwal, at the MMA2 (domestic airport) in Lagos.
ReplyDeleteIronically, on the same day, I saw a woman at the Aero check-in queue, who was making a fuss about the staff not giving her preferential treatment because she had a business class ticket and complaining loudly that if her husband were with her, they would be falling over themselves. I was truly irritated by the woman. Obviously one of those uncouth nouveau riche people, who show that money can never buy class.
He's so humble....
ReplyDeleteI've always said it. This should be our president. I hope we open our eyes and save ourselves from destruction by voting him in when the time comes. Carry go my governor. Naija o ni baje o... o ba je ti.
ReplyDeleteThere ll always b u dr cover security but he must go thru due process ... Anyway fashola I heard frm his very very close friends he is very humble n normal , he has not charge frm his formal sef
ReplyDeleteIs this news? how else he go board before? Doesn't look like nail so yup..get in the queue gov!
ReplyDelete@ Anon 12.56am - I agree with BRF.Go to grad school and stop trying to wreck his family and name.
ReplyDeleteBRF is amodel governor.I admre him alot.his works as seen every where in lagos.Even an average lagosian knows that BRF is working , yet he is not mouthy, he is reserved, humble and focused.I like the guy die!!!!
ReplyDeletevaughn got it right, this is not naija at all. i havent seen him traveling before in naija, so i cant say if he does same over here.
ReplyDeleteBRF is amodel governor.I admre him alot.his works as seen every where in lagos.Even an average lagosian knows that BRF is working , yet he is not mouthy, he is reserved, humble and focused.I like the guy die!!!!

ReplyDeletePeople are funny... Being governor of Lagos state means squat outside the shores of Nigeria. Heck, even being President of Nigeria means nothing once your time in office is over. Heck on top of Heck, I remember when George Bush was President, his mother, Barbara had to remove her shoes to go through airport security in the states.
ReplyDeleteNow if Fashola is truly humble and what not, let him go live in Ajegunle in a face me I face you as most people of Lagos State do, then we'll know he is humble.
One time, my friends and I met Peter Obi in Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, we refused to believe he was the one, because he sat down @ d waiting lounge and we could not spot his retinue of aides.
ReplyDeleteWe dared my friend and he went to meet Peter Obi and they got talking and exchanged cards.
When Peter Obi's flight was announced, we saw his aides who were in strategic positions in d waiting lounge get up and follow him.
One word. Humility.
Nothing new here- quite a lot of Nigerian officials are humble but why would you want to go through the stress of being harassed by immigration and drugs officials who don't even treat you with courtesy at the airport when you are leaving the country??? Leaving is harder than entering Nigeria!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess people are not used to seeing a governor in the queue. You can even see the distance between him and the other poeple in the queue, thinking, what is this man doing here!
ReplyDeleteThis is him o. i have had the opportunity of seeing go through the same thing in Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport. He refuses preferential treatment. So those of u doubting weda itz a Nigerian Airport or not? thats ur ansa.
ReplyDeleteit is filmtrick for the press.
ReplyDeleteTrue talk @ Prof x he might just have odieshi dat detects , what with his issues with tinubu ,kuforiji and the others na one runs girl with the full package of STD, HIV ,MAGUN , that will fall his hand , really he is humility personified met him once as we, were on the same flight ,of course me in my economy class jejely and fellow nigerians , but hmmmm at the baggage reclaim in Heatrow airport come see nigerians falling over trying to shake him , some who went to uniben with him trying to reconnect , power sweet ooh no bi small , no hanger on trying to carry ehim load , na him jejeley waka commot .okay bye .
ReplyDelete@Adele, Demeji Bankole is a very humble guy.
ReplyDeleteFirst commentator, if nah Tinubu you try that with, your yansh go done see weeen. Fash nah oyinbo man. Leave am. He rora get im own babe. No wahala
ReplyDelete9ja is soooo corrupt that pple dnt even know wat is normal and wat is not.
ReplyDeleteYeah...whatever!! Normal stuff @ foreign airports nau!! Still don't change d fact that fashola like to 'take dat tin'!!! Smh!
ReplyDelete@Adele, if what you said about the Honourable Speaker is true then my respect just went up for him another notch. Mnwyl, everybody knows that Bankole had an air around him... Effin fool
ReplyDeleteLol @ protocol stating you can board last...
ReplyDeleteIt is in naija that foolish ego makes people think they are special.
ReplyDeleteGood for him...
ReplyDeleteFirst commenter, you are a DOG! the way Lagos girls go around trying to sleep with big men is something really pathetic.
ReplyDeleteladies, please lets embrace being respectable women. Imagine the governor telling you that. Girls, get a life, a career and stop preoccupying yourselves with looking simply dulling up yourselves and waiting to be whisked off by some big man.'
Its getting too much abeg!!!
@ anonymous March 13, 2012 9:17 AM. you too you are a dog also.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, no matter how beautiful you are as a young woman, you will age and grow old.( if your sins don't kill you before that intended time). interestingly, there will always be young girls, perhaps like you are now that these old men will rather have at that time, (Rather than an old doggy hags that you would have become then) . The only thing that will stand the test of time is your integrity, dynasty and a properly built career (if you have done any one these)
so, keep on prostituting yourself and looking older by the minute.
U ll tey for there, he has eyes only for his wife and a yellow woman he has dated since being a chief of staff, she works in Alausa too
ReplyDelete@anon 12:56am u shld be ashamed of urself, anyway why will i bother since its obvious u are a prostitute 4 life, douchebag like u. go sell ur wares to some other douchebags like urself. akuna akuna 10k. hope say u don kary ashewo work build house 4 ur parents 4 village kos very soon madness will kom wen u r very old & kant open ur saggy body anymur, ozu, eku like u
ReplyDeleteits obviously not in Nigeria
ReplyDeleteWhen he joins the que on 3rd mainland bridge on a tipical evening, and not bully us to make way; I'll know he's truly humble. For now......na wash!
ReplyDeleteThis guy is a very humble person and so down to earth...i wish all other government can be like him....FASHOLA FOR PRESIDO :)
ReplyDeletehaba!!! Linda!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u sef! this is not nigeria airport now! go siddon jare, u no get work.
ReplyDeleteWhat is there? After all the queen and the duchess used public transport a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteLinda! this is so not a big deal, i traveled first class on emirates and had the Rivers state governor on the same flight, he was flying with his children and he is humble, even sat on his luggage and played with his kids while waiting to board when we got to nigeria, still no aides, just got his luggage out himself and that was that. that is humility.
ReplyDeletebee
See yeye Hakeen Muri Okunola HMO by Fash's side wiv a CRINGE on his black face!!!!!!!!! This London Heathrow.
ReplyDeleteYes, if that is an airport abroad, our leaders are very humble.
ReplyDeletePart 1: Can you imagine I met our own former defence minister gen danjuma in the UK some time ago, and we were in the lift together, couldnt believe it,cos he behaved like a real gentleman cos if its in naija who born monkey to even smell where e dey with all the security over sabi details around him.
ReplyDeleteI respect Fashola because this is one of the few men that truly care about the people and Nigeria as a whole. He's very cool, humble, and intelligent . I pray God will continue to keep him and his family.
