LASTMA official push bus conductor to his death (Photos)

A bus conductor this morning fell to his death after he was pulled down from a moving bus by a LASTMA official. Eyewitnesses say another vehicle ran over the conductor as he fell from his bus, killing him instantly. The incident happened around 11 am this morning at Motorways, Ikeja on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

The people at the bus stop where it happened turned mob action and beat the LASTMA official to unconsciousness but was rescued by the police before they could kill him. I hear a few of the people who beat the LASTMA guy were arrested at the scene. Photo of the dead conductor when you continue. I said dead, so viewers discretion advised...

  6. These LASTMA guys are just crazy. They take the laws into their hands and kill innocent citizens. What baffles me these days is the way police men go around carrying scary looking guns and telling motorists to pull aside. I simply don't get it.

  24. This is quite sad. Nigeria has gone of its spindle and we are all watching. We all better start praying. Boorishness and callousness at all levels from the govt into personal lives.

May his soul rest in peace. Amen

'WHY EVILS NIGERIA' SHUD BE D FIRST VERSE ON OUR NATIONAL ANTHEM!Just 2 days ago, was returning from work & saw an okada rider being manhandled by 5-6 mopol guys, the guy didn't want to pull over, they finally got him, tried 2 pull him into their bus, kicking him like a ram while they wereat it! The guy went fell from their grip, went under the bus, and lay there! They opened fuel on his eyes, and got him unconscious, after which he was whisked away! Only GOD knows what went down afterwards......We aint safe people! Animals are being asked to secure d nation, and animals are also ruling! WHY EVILS......

  35. This conductor is just a victim of the system. Blame a system that will put the transportation sector in the hands of illiterates.
our danfo buses in naija cannot even be used for transporting cows for the slaughter in advanced nations. Every danfo bus driver is at this risk. Can any untamed 'lastma' official in UK or any mad man physically pull down a passenger or the conductor from the ARRIVA uk buses that the doors cannot even open when in motion? Mscheww!!!

  37. I'm not surprise dat a LASTMA official/or wot eva dey call dem selves could do such a thing since dey wrk hand in hand wit d policemen. After soakin dem selves wit very cheap, disgustin alcoholic drinks their brains capsides and they start seeing things & pple diferently, human beigns wil b seen as somethin lifeless. How can some1 in his rite senses pull a person down from a vehicle in motion, thats abnormal.Thank God dey dont operate wit guns if not who knws if wot they would hv done wouldn't b worst dan dat of d policemen. May his soul R I P.
    Amen.

  38. What's the diff btw this pple and police now. Killing innocent pple bcos of money. It's so sad that the pple there could not kill the LASTMA guy b4 the police got there. He will never come out of that coma oo so that his family can feel the pain the bus conductor's family are feeling now.

  39. Hmmm in all fairness, we all know that LASMA man might have flagged him down severally b4 chasing and pulling him down. These Bus drivers can be extremely wicked in their own way. Look at this scenario, The LASMA dude stops him, he tries to dodge, enters the front of another motorists and takes off, while the motorist trying to dodge an accident hits an okada driver who saw what was coming but decided to go on out of impatience. Or better still the motorists hits the LASMA official. Hmmmmmm it makes me wonder....... Im sorry he his dead but i blame it on the whole system, not fashola, not govt but U and I. A one way road we go on the other side preventing opposite motorists rom passing thir right of way... yes you and you, you all do it and when you are threatened with LASMA you say, we go just give them 5k, abeg i no fit de this traffic. SO dont blame the govt, blame the yourselves.

  47. @AnonymousFeb 2, 2012 11:15 AM in all fairness tOo, it was d bus driver driving abi? Not the conductor, so y pull d conductor down? Y didn't he pull d driver? D conductor is d one who holds the cash!

  48. I concur with the person that says we all should be blamed.we drive against traffic and pay our way out.why break traffic rules in the 1st place?however,i have actually seen it happen in that same motorways several times before but none ended so gruesomely.the lastma or police around there know that it is more than likely that the bus they flag down wont have complete papers.yes the drivers should have everything required but the officials donnot have the right to even flag you down for papers in the 1st instance and def shouldnt pull you down from a moving vehicle.we are all wrong in our discharge of her personal responsiblities to society.if i dont disregard rules,i wouldnt have to have to bribe my way out of it.hmmmm!

  49. our health sector is worthless in dis country. I'm sure der musta been a possibility of d poor guy surviving only if we hd a working n responsive emergency ambulance service...i spit on our leaders past n present!

  50. Not surprised. A couple of week ago, a Lastma Guy was arguing with a bus driver in front of where I stay (MKO Abiola gardens), next thing the Lastma guy ran to his vehicle and pulled out - a matchete and began chasing the bus driver. Coincidentally, just moments before I witnessed this incident, a friend telling me of how KAI and Lastma peeps are just a bunch of government approved touts.

  51. look at the person who is working for survive and nonsense LASTMAN put an end for his living (Poor Boy RIP) judges must prevail. I wonder why people around beating him instead they should pure petrol on him and kill him immediately. Infact govt. should send all lastman, "agbero" away from that Ikeja along the place is an expressway not garage.

  57. This is simply pathetic!how did our nation condescend this low in terms of outage disregard for human lives!today it s lastma, tomorrow its police.news these days is mostly of lives getting lost innocently.but then our leaders are to be blame1Are they not robbing and killing us gradually by their greed and heavy appetite to emass wealth and power unto themselves alone, not considering well eing of common man and struggling citizens who simply want to survive and not involve in shady business. Then they will arrest petty thieves on a charge simply ridiculous while they commit daylight robbery which we can do nothing about!

  58. The conductor's death is on both the driver nd on the lasman. The driver disobeying an officer by zooming off,nd the officer not doing well by pullin innocent citizen down on a busy highway. may his soul RIP.

Lastma officials with the help of police once collected 17k from me at their office in Adeola Odeku after taking my company vehincle to their yard, all bcos i drop some people at Tantilizer frontage Round about V.I. So i know what it is to run away at all cost but this extrajudicial killin is punishable to 4th generation of the lastma in question. Fashola u need to sit up and clear your name by puttin right peg in the right hole. RIP our dear brother and may your soul give trouble to your killers, amen
