Photo: Beyonce's hospital room - like a five star hotel

TMZ has obtained photos of the VIP room at the Lenox Hill Hospital in NYC where Beyonce gave birth on the 7th of January. The room has 4 flat screen TV's, state of the art electronics, a kitchenette, nice art, mahogany walls, plush furnishings and a bed where Jay Z could sleep.

Sources connected with the hospital told TMZ that the suite was not constructed specifically for Beyonce, but it was always intended that Beyonce would be the first patient to use it.

  6. @Tbaby: is that jealousy i detect? the woman worked hard for her money and is spending it well. If you did the same, you would want to have your baby in an even better place than that, so stop hating cos you cant. And this is entertainment news, if it upsets you, why bother to comment? You are such a hypocrite!!

  11. Erm, there is nothing spectacular about the room, I just thank God I delivered my children in a safe and sterile environment. Was not concerned about the the decor of the room as long as I was in a hospital thats all the mattered!

  12. yeah, I think Beyonce' and dem went a little bit 2 much. granted it's their money and their first baby...but com'on mehn, having a baby in a posh hospital room with the whole floor cleared out, so visitors can't see their sick relatives is quite insensitive and stupid!

  50. @Tbaby: what is vanity? having the money to be able to afford what you want? a certain lifestyle? especially when you worked hard for it? Not trying to diss you or any such thing, but i just read a lot of jealousy in comments that makes me wonder. And i can bet you that she didnt go thru labour pains: epidural, which by the way, is a choice given to women in childbrith here in america. lol. I am no fan of beyoncy or whatever, just dont like judgmental people. If i have money the she does and i know i worked hard for it, i will get the best that life has to offer here on earth and still do charitable works along with it. Like i said before, lets stop hating, she deserves to born her pikin on gold if she so wishes, she worked hard for her money.

  57. To be honest, it's just a well decorated room with good lighting and fixtures. That does nothing to ease the pain of child birth at all. All you need, as the pregnant person, is a bed and bathroom. Trust me,me the four TVs won't do much for you.
Obviously, because our naija healthcare is soo shut down to hell, this sort of "luxurious" room looks like American wonder. That is quite available in a lot of the foreign hospitals. No big deal. And no need to get sanctimonious here, if you could afford it, you most likely would, especially if you worked hard for it. Everybody loves comfort, EVERYBODY! So please let's move on

  58. I cant speak for Norway, but for those of you saying that this room is the norm in the States...please stop lying. I am a nursing student and rotate through many hospitals, and I have not seen a room this plush. This hospital room is NOT the norm. *rme* It is so unnecessary.

    If got it, flaunt it!

  62. BLACK WOMEN, PLS STOP HATING!!! If this were some white singer, most of you would be supportive. If you don't understand luxury, then crawl back to your cave. What's the essence of hard work if you don't match your lifestyle with your success? If the room is too nice for you, please don't cry to us about it - Go give birth in a canal. That's humble, right? And to the bitter mothers,no, this birth is not the same as yours. Pikin pass pikin. Who sabi u? Scheeeeew.

  63. Abeg, make we hear word...that is almost the basic in most U.S delivery hospitals. Mine was almost same, even hubby had a pull out bed/couch to sleep on. Much ado about nothing...

  68. erm hello? to the person who said we are lying pls what hospital in the US do u work at? MOST hospitals in the US look exactly like this... (hvnt seen one wit 4 tv screens, which to me is unnecessary anyway) BUT this is hw a normal patient/delivery room looks like in most hospitals in the US.. im also a nurse here in the US so i know wat d hell im talkin bout. sheesh.
maybe the only thing makin it VIP...is the 4 tv screens .. apart from that, there ain't nuthin special.

When a woman is in labor, she does not care where she is! HER MIND IS BLINDED WITH PAIN,ESPECIALLY FOR PRIMERS! As long as there are competent doctors around, she can even deliver in the bush!

What about the blood, shit and urine that comes with delivery? DEFINITELY NOT IN THIS KIND OF SETTING!....they are joking!

It also features a kitchenette with a sink, a microwave and a shelf-full of coffee cups, meaning that the singer and her family could make themselves quick hot snacks".

"There is also a single bed (not a pull out couch)especially for the father-to-be or another family member to rest while waiting for the baby to arrive.
Like everything else connected with the birth of the hip-hop princess, this is yet more proof that the birth of Blue was a lavish affair."
