Nollywood actor Sam Dede becomes DG of tourism in Rivers State
One of Nollywood's finest actors and university lecturer, Sam Dede, has been appointed the Director General, Rivers State Tourism Development Agency by the Rivers State Govt. He got the appointment on the 18th of January 2012.
Yeah, the guy is a gud actor. Can somebody pls help me remember that home movie he acted as a detective officer that released a kidnapped lady. It is a gud one. I wish him well.
Dede is one of th most accomplished and serious-minded entertainmnet practitioners. He was quite vocal and visible during the subsidy removal protests. A bit surprised he's decided to join government..... toeing the line of RMD? Wish him the best and I trust he will make an indelible mark. Ahoi !!!!

Am not impressed, this is another means to syphon Rivers state public funds. When there is already a ministry of tourism that does nothing the whole year and then spends a fortune of the states money on a one week long carnival why then does an agency have to be created just for tourism. What are the ministry workers doing all year round. The angency is a total waste. Instead a committe should be set up just once a year to manage their so called caniriv that blocks movement in whole city. Duplication of office if you ask me.Nonsense!!! Dont get me wrong I like Samm Dede. he is good as what he does. But the truth needs to be told.
