Kano Multiple Bomb Blasts: Over 143 bodies discovered so far

Hospital officials in Kano have put the death toll from yesterday's multiple bombings at over 143. They expect to find more bodies. Also, the Kano State Government has declared a 24-hour curfew in the state.

Meanwhile two explosions shook the city of Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, last night.

Do you think Nigeria is heading towards disintegration like the US predicted we will before 2015?

  1. The question now is not if Nigeria would be divide or not, the question is what is the sharing formula; into how many equal or unequal parts would Nigeria be divided? who would go where?

  2. www.gideblog.com say's In all my life, I av always known Muslims to be peaceful people. You can stay with one and have hisword for confidence. But what these dreaded masquerades called BOKO HARAM are doing up in the north is indeed a great diversion and aberration from the teachings of Islam. WHY? I believe somepeople are either doing everything to bring down this Government or are doing everything for Economic gains. I there fore call on my LORD who is stronger than Boko Haram not only to exposed them but bring them to book. If however they can be corrected, may HE put goodness and mercy in their heart so that all these wanton killings and senseless destructions could come to an end www.gideblog.com

  4. No, the country will not disintegrate- why are people casting aspirations on Nigeria's future as a nation?? Every nation must go through what Nigeria is going through at some point in their history- even the US went through it. I am no fan of Goodluck Jonathan but I believe all these explosions are only happening because someone wants to bring his government down- if a soldier like Obasanjo or even Babangida was in chance, trust me, these cowards targeting ordinary people would dare not try it but civilians are far too soft. Moreover, the attacks in Kano seemed to have killed Muslims too, so proving that Boko Haram are not but a group of criminals hiding behind the claim that they want to bring sharia law to Nigeria- Jonathan needs to cancel all his planned trips overseas, stay at home and deal firmly with these criminals causing mayhem in the country.

  8. As much as I think we won't disintegrate. We can't just fold our arms and think we will remain one. We need some sort of criminal intelligence involved like the CIA. I also think America may be responsible cos they may want their prediction to come to fulfilment or maybe after our oil that we cannot manage properly. God help us. Amen.

  13. No, Nigeria will not disintegrate.
Disintegration also does not solve the problem. Look at what is happening in the new Sudan today - they have started killing themselves already in Southern Sudan. Even here in Nigeria, Ijaws fought Itshekiris, Ebonyi people are fighting amongst themselves, etc..

And whilst we're busy abusing police officers in general, we should remember they are the ones who are bearing the burnt of these attacks. And it's not like they are being paid well (in January of this year, the Minister for police affairs was trying to explain why police officers had not paid December salaries. And these are the same guys we are expecting to put their lives on the line).

From my POV, Boko Haram is politically motivated. Also, I think the public/journalists can help by curtailing the spreading of their propaganda and news. For example, maybe the youtube video by their leader/public pronoucements they make should not be aired. That will cut off their ability to appeal to other zealots and gain converts.

  14. Even their Allah will never forgive them. Aljana will elude them. Their prophet Mohammed will turn his back on them. Their children and their generations unborn will go around and about cursed. Members and sponsors of Boko Haram will experience God' s wrath. It will never be well with them. Everything they ever worked for will extinguish in their very eyes. They will all bury their own children one by one. The blood of the slain will hunt them and cry out to God for vengeance against them and their unborn generation forever. I am deeply sad and wounded. There is no tears enough for the injustice done to innocent people whose life have been cut short in their prime for no just cause.
GOD OF VENGEANCE, NIGERIANS ARE WAILING AND WAITING. ARISE!!!!!!!

  15. all of u talking about blaming the government should SHUT THE HELL UP!what do u want the government to do?they are freaking imperfect human beings and can't put everything under control no matter how much they would have loved to...y'all should go and try ruling nigeria lets see how it turns out..we would all just go and sit there and chop money like the rest even though initially we have good intentions...leave this in God's hands..HIS KINGDOM IS THE ONLY SOLUTION!

  16. Weak President. Completely out of depth. Maybe the governor in the north will stop enabling and start figuring how to solve the problem instead of habouring them.

Secondly, the country is at war with influences from both within, trying to exploit the situation and people outside this country.

If care is mot taken, this will break out even faster than that 2015

  19. Am i the only one who feels that these people deserve better than to be piled on top of each other like this? Couldnt they have at least covered them up?

  20. when a media in Nigeria says"143', it means in the real deal, it's close to 250 dead victims! it doesn't make sense to me that with all the bombing, the only fight our activist are allowed to put is fuel subsidy! The very few ones who came out were either attacked or killed! it's getting way out of hand and our president just sits there and distribute wealth among themselves. These boko haram group has really given good muslims out there a very bad name.GOD PLEASE COME TO OUR AID QUICKLY, AMEN.

  31. linda as much as america predicts division i don't see it happening soon.this is because our government(who are making millions from this huge nation)will loose out big time when Nigeria divides which will lead to the subsequent collapse of the government,so in order to maintain their steady flow of cash by milking this nation, they will do anything to prevent the division of Nigeria even if it means the death of millions through boko haram.

  32. where is CAN president Mr.Ayo Orisejafor? oh the over 140 dead bodies are less human and important to the xtian who died at the xmas bombing. Its high time our supposed leaders learn to be real elderstatemen in the real words of it.
Oh who cares, the muslims killing muslims, then we are all looking in the other direction.
Here is my candid opinion, GEJ is part of the cartel controlling and using the BOKO HARAM for their sinister objective(s).GEJ knows em and he is a direct beneficiary of the whole spill over.
He is neither slow nor suffering from indecision syndrome, cos he did the most thinkable to the lagosian protesting against his unpopular policy by deploying soldiers to stabilize his govt.He should have deploy the same barge of army to the troubled zones well before now if he is sincere and honest.
I curse the day he was voted *sic* i never did anyway, my choice was Fola Adeola, not even Ribadu cos among the pack, Fola is the only one who built something from nothing.

  33. The president is confused, he has said he knows there are poeple in his govt that are part of boko haram and he has not done anything about it. How can they say they caught a boko haram mastermind and he escaped, the story does not add up and since the C in C (commander in chief) Mr GEJ has not demoted the IGP and sacked them without benefits, there is no reason why other rouge agents of the state should sit up. All of this is the presidents fault.

  34. Disintegration is the simple solution to 9ja problem. Unemplyment, corruption, insecurity, cabal in govt, 9ja does not ve d template to exist as a nation.(I bliv if 9ja divide today I will leave lagos and go to my village where I will be relevant with my level of education) If any1 listen to the subsidy probe, u will find out the gravity of corruption going on in d oil sector and an average ijaw man can not feed himself and send his children to sch. PLS let's regional Govt exist with a weaker FG or Nigeria should disintegrate. Shikena

    ReplyDelete
  35. So sad and annoying! When will GEJ take DEFINITE ACTION on boKo haram? Can't d fight be taken to them in their hideouts? What is he waiting 4? Till they kill everybody or bomb his wife's enormous ass,I guess. Mtchewwwww! Yeye de smell.

  37. You know in naija when they 160 bodies you should multiply that by two. Officially Ringim said only 7 people died.

We are going to have another political formula. 4 regions with a centralized rotational center. All Four regions will have to be completelely self ruled. North, west, east and south south.

This eliminates the need for the bloated senate and house and drastically reduces central government waste. Military only will be centralized. No state will be allowed to have its own military. But each can have a professional police force.

You will see how quickly Nigeria will develop.
