Armed Robbers Kill Seven People in Port Harcout

Port Harcourt is gradually becoming a death zone as robbery incidents become rampant and deadly. Armed robbers this morning attacked two banks in Rumola Port Harcourt and before they were done, seven people lost their lives. Witnesses say it was a shooting spree. They shot at anyone they saw...

God help us in this country...

  3. God cannot help Nigeria if Nigerians have refused to help themselves. It is obvious that human life means nothing in Nigeria.

  5. Hi Linda,i work on Rumuola Road Port Harcourt, the dare devil armed robbers did not rob any bank rather trailed a customer who have just withdrawn Huge amount of money from one of the Banks on Rumuola Road and killed the 3 occupants of the car and 4 passer byes. Its so unfortunate the police cannot protect defenceless citizens. Please we need our Governor Right Honourable Chibuike Ameachi to rise up to the occation and deploy APC,Army, Navy and Airforce armed men in every startegic places in Rivers state while Helicopters patrol the air!

  12. If this country still has a government, it should resign immediately!! A government that cannot secure the safety of its citizens has no business calling itself a government.

  13. @ dec 5 8.14pm. Please show me a place in the world where the govt is securing the lives of its citizen. Are you insane? Crazy people walk amongst us everyday. That incident could have been avoided ONLY if the people transferred the money electronically. It is greedy Nigerian u should blame on this one and not the govt. Like seriously, any thing individuals should be held responsible for, they blame the govt. Fucking retards.

  14. @ anonymous dec 5 8.14pm. Please show me a place in the world where the govt is securing the lives of its citizen from crazy people. Are you insane? Crazy people walk amongst us everyday. Crazy people have killed innocent kids at daycare in america. They have blown up trains in the U.K, one guy severed the head of some passengers on a bus in canada, look at the recent one in norway, as peaceful as that place is. This horrible robbery incident could have been avoided ONLY if the owners transferred the money electronically. It is greedy Nigerians u should blame on this one and not the govt. Like seriously, some of u guys are nuts. Anything individuals should be held responsible for, they blame the govt. Fucking retards

  17. Hmmmm. With everybody in Nigeria born again and against gay marriage and knowing the bible, i wonder why it is still one of the most corrupt and most insecure counties in the work. Una never jam. 2012 is coming, crazier robberies, kidnapping, bombing and unnecessary road accidents will happen and all you will say is "god help u" and he never does.

  18. @Oluwashindara. You are the retard here. Why are you comparing crime in Europe and America with that of Nigeria? It's like comparing the size of handkerchief with that of babaringa. Some of the crimes you refered to in Europe and America has the perpertrators being apprehended to serve as deterrent to others who might be planning similar mischief, unlike Nigeria, which is a jungle. Perpetrators of these dastardly acts are never brought to book. That is why the magnitude is much and keeps on increasing. Unfortunately , you sound as if you dont know the function of government in a society. Do you think their job is only to embezzle money? My friend, you need your head checked.

  19. while ArmedRobbery is extremely wrong and the state of security in Nigeria is deteriorating by the milli-second, the most important thing that strikes me in this picture as with every other picture of this nature is the fact that PEOPLE (not 1, 2 or 10) are standing there and staring?!?...many people have died in Nigeria just because they were not given immediate medical care. For all we know, that woman could have still been alive as at the time this picture was taken. Nigeria makes me sad!

  20. I only wish these armed robbers, Boko harams, Mend etc, will have enough guts to invade the government houses. That is when we will know how far.

    @Oluwashindara: Stop being delusional.

  21. Linda and Nigerians, Why is Nigerians' only response to horrible news,"GOD HELP US". What the fuck?
haven't you noticed that there is NO HELP coming from anywhere? The more you pray, the more evil overtakes the country. It is a damn shame religion has enslaved you all and robbed you of the power to liberate yourselves.

KEEP WAITING FOR GOD TO SAVE YOU. MORE IS COMING.

  25. The government can't help nigerians. So we should take matters into our own hands. The problem with nigerians is deep rooted and our orientation as nigerians must change..Nigerians are obsessed with wealth, no one is content with what they have, a wife comparing her hubby with the neighbor who is wealthy. Here in the U.S, there is dignity in labour from cab drivers to cleaners. It is only in nigeria that a driver/maid is looked down on. These are people in legit jobs not robbing. We must respect every one irrespective of how much they earn.

  26. ALL BECAUSE OF CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION!

the souls rest in peace but the murderers rot in H-E-L-L!!!!!!! amen!

my mum recently returned from a trip to the village, said robbers operated btw 12pm-1pm on friday afternoon along shagamu-ore road! Their driver reversed back quickly like others!

A man used his sales gal for money ritual 2 sundays ago he was caught but she is no more! Another used his 3months old baby! Another ran mad for 6months, than used his mother! Another a female used her father! Some walk around naked like mad men, but they are not! They are performing rituals! A guy has a sore on his leg which had defied all form of treatment for the past one year! There is always plaster on the leg. He saw the latest hummer jeep (3) drive pass last week and he made a vow that if he does not ride such a car next year (2012) he would die! This made people to become suspicious of the never-healing-sore which he tells people it was done to him by his competitors out of jealousy!

Things are really happening all in the bid to have this money! smh. LORD HAVE MERCY UPON YOUR INNOCENT CHILDREN AND CONTINUE TO PROTECT US, IN JESUS NAME..AMEN!!

  38. @ all, just gonethrough your comments,Good comments.i live in this country Great nigeria of great opprtunities and in portharcourt.i think the question is, is this robery avoidable or not? why attracting attention by carrying huge amount of fund that u can just transfer from your phone to whoever or through a cheque.if money is carried this way in the US or other parts of the world we will experience worse. The problem here is,there is'nt a workable system that controls crime, such as limit of withdrawal etc. If i know i will get nothing when i carry gun to the street and it wont pay me.i wont do it.@ the moment car theft robbery in nigeria are mimimal, why Tracking devices helps us in recovery.Thats how it work-SYSTEM.
