Why we offered GCON to Dangote – Jonathan

“Today (yesterday) I am having the GCFR the highest in the land by virtue of the fact that I am the President of this country, but if I am not the president another person must be the President of Nigeria, but if Aliko did not have that business acumen to build that empire probably we wouldn’t have had somebody to employ thousands of Nigerians.

So those who by their innate abilities and creative energies have been able to make impact in our society even deserve more honour than those of us holding political offices. So we would continue to encourage enterprise, creativity and Nigerians who have excelled in whatever form. A welder, electrician or anybody who by virtue of what you do, you’ve done it with much dedication and impacted society significantly can be honoured by the president”. - GEJ

  5. Will this award pacify Boko Haram (Hausa / Fulani people)? I don't think so. Aliko Dangote is two-faced, currently allied to Goodluck Jonathan because of all the money he's milking from Nigeria and the monopoly his companies enjoy from the federal government. Aliko Dangote is in it for the money and his own selfish interest and would not hesitate to collect an award even from Boko Haram were they to come into power. As far as I'm concerned, all Hausa / Fulani people support Boko Haram because Goodluck Jonathan is not a northerner. How come Aliko Dangote or his fellow northern leader have never publicly condemned Boko Haram? If you're surprised, I'm not. Hausa / Fulani people are all the same and they are hidding under Boko Haram to distablise and make Nigeria ungovernable just because a Hausa / Fulani person is not the current president of Nigeria. Hausa / Fulani people must publicly condem and disown Boko Haram or they can all go join their ancestors in the Sahara desert. Boko Haram is 100% Hausa / Fulani people. Hausa / Fulani unleashed terror on the rest of the country because they are not in power. These are the same greedy pigs who have ruled and lorded over Nigerians for 38 years. Where's the fairness?

  8. These Mo'fuckas are crazy. So this dark as night president is presenting Dangote an award for providing jobs for Nigerians??

Why can't the government be smart enough to create a pro-business and pro-growth environment in which business will thrive and create more jobs.

How is Dangote helping Nigeria? There is still not enough jobs. He operates monopolies. The nigger is helping the government not the country. This award means something else. The man is getting richer and deceiving the world that he's Nigeria's richest man when we know it's one of these thieves/politicians.

  13. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out!
First off, when the Nigerian govt is giving only one family (the Dangote's) the licence to import sugar, pasta, noodles, even fuel sef, etc etc to the country...ofcourse, they can be deemed successful! But it's a monopoly business with the absence of competition, which often results in high prices and inferior products being sold to Nigerians.
Secondly, these awards are worthless (it's been rejected twice by Chinua Achebe, a man of substance and integrity), but why is the govt not creating an enabling enviroment that will spur economic growth and competition?
Lastly, Goodluck Jonathan is an embarrassment to ALL Nigerians...anytime he opens his mouth and make a speech, just shows how much we have fallen as a nation. Seriously, is this IDIOT Nigeria's president? I mean, seriously?!!!!

  15. @Anon 10.46pm, you are a true Yoruba coward.

The system we operate is built to stifle and kill any element of change, so change must come by force. When the time comes, you can run and hide under your bed cos it will happen with or without the likes of you.

And by the way, I am Yoruba too.
