NCC Advises Nigerians to Ignore Rumours of Phone-Induced Death

The 'killer' numbers are supposedly 09141 and 091441. So basically, when these numbers call you and you pick = you die! Some people claim that 10 people died in Wukari while receiving calls from these phone numbers. Really? Wow! And some people are buying this? OK!

Anyway, the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, has advised Nigerians to ignore such rumours. The commission said the claim is false and without any iota of truth, and that nothing like that could happen to somebody responding to a phone, no matter the number through which such calls are made.  It is only very gullible people that will believe such a rumour, they said

Basically, there are no killer numbers! So, relax people!

  5. its only in nigeria that shit like that exists. i was furious when all my nigerian contacts on bb sent me that broadcast message. pisses me off. mysterious killing numbers.lmao. and while we are on the subject, the rate at which nigerians send out broadcast messages annoy me. send this to 7 people and see what happens in 7 minutes, or if u love god send this and some shit like that. i reside in canada and non of my canadian friends send stupid broadcasts like that. like for real. just propagates the typical nigerian mentality. yeesh

  6. I just vented some expletives on someone's comment about this nonsense on another post.

NCC - do you actually have a functional portfolio that you must even deem it necessary to put a statement about this silly thing? I give up!

  12. The issue is not for NCC to come out and call it a cock and bull story but to actually investigate the issue.

I don't believe such crap but then stranger things have happened. As someone here rightly pointed out the thoughts of a 'mobile phone' some years back would have been thought to be as out rightly ridiculous as the issue of this killer numbers. In fact it would have been thought possible only by witchcraft.

However the number did indeed call someone i know personally so i believe its worth investigating in order to expose the pranksters and and act as a deterrent to other miscreants in the future.

  21. Please my fellow people and to Linda herself pls am begging you guys not to take this as a rumour or as fake news...It happened in my presence and i was so marveled because av neva believed in it. We were in the church having a youth meeting when one of us excuse himself when his phone rang and believe me d guy shouted suddenly and fell on the floor. We did all we could to rescue him and everyone started praying after a while he came up and we rushed him to d hospital and funny enough the doctor said he has no blood in his body again and as am typing this to u he's stil in d hospital. We all blamed him for picking d call for we believed he must have been aware of it but he told us he neva hear dat from anyone lately...Though d number dat called him he nt d same number broadcasted but d number is also 5digit number(03054). So my people please avoid any strange numbers dta calls you as we all knw this world is gradually going to an end and pple are looking fort all means to get power. Evil has sucked this country die and its better for get ourselves prepared and to be conscious of things like this...Am not saying anyone should believe what am saying because am sure some wil stil argue this...But hw who has an ear pls let him hear....Have nothing to gain saying what i dnt knw, just feel i need to share this with u guys.Ciao
