Singer Amy Winehouse found dead at her London flat

Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, was this afternoon found dead her flat in north London.

Police say they received a call at 4.05pm calling for help for a woman in Camden. Paramedics were called to the scene, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

They are saying cause of death is an overdose of drink and drugs...

She had so much going for her..but couldn't leave drugs alone...such a sad way to go. May her soul rest in peace...amen.

  1. So so sad, but sort of expected. Such a talented singer but She had been battling with drugs for so long and it was only a matter of time. RIP AMY

  3. They tried to make her go to rehab and she said no, no, no. She should have said yes, yes, yes! She's now gone back to black....

She was a train wreck waiting to happen, so i'm not surprised. She spurned everyone that tried to help her.

Unlucky age 27 (Hendrix, Cobain etc)

I'm going to drive by Camden tonight to feel the eeriness. Such a huge and wasted talent.

It is really, really sad. Such a waste of life. When we say RIP, the only way someone can rest in peace is if the person died in Christ. I feel so sorry, I cried because I loved her but the truth is I hope she had some seconds to accept Christ into her life. My friends, that is the most important thing. It's easy for pple to condemn and judge Amy but let us not forget that we are all sinners. May God comfort her family in Jesus' name.

  5. so sad RiP...things like this serve as a reminder to us Christians that some things we indulge ourselves in here on earth are vanity and we should live remembering we are accountable to God. Time to stop making excuses and comparing ourselves to people who enjoy sinning. We all sin but the only way to know what God deems a righteous life is by studying his word. Thank Him for education we dont need to rely on men of God for the answers. Before you guys chase me away, i've gone :p Linda pls post ooo

  7. NO!!!! This is so terrible! I saw her during her concert in serbia, where she was stuttering and falling over herself on stage and I was wondering why none of her handlers helped her to stay away from drugs! It's so sad...such a talented singer RIP Winehouse, seemed like u never had a clean break!

  8. Anyone with great voice, satan always find a way to destroy them....look at whitney houston and others hooked on drug....why, because satan was created with the best voice he sings for God but he hated the fact that some human being are now blessed with great voice so he is busy to destroy them....that is why if you know any great singer or anyone with great voice please pray for them.....I pray God comfort Amy's family, wake up call to others.

  9. Jimi Hendrix,Kurt Cobain(Nirvana),Janis Joplin,Eddie Hazel(funkadelic guitarist) and now Amy Winehouse.
Drugs have taken so many talented stars, but still it has a powerful attraction to the truly talented.I have always wondered if taking drugs enhances their talent. Some of the greatest rock stars produced their best music under the influence of drugs
I am referring to hard narcotics-Pcp,lsd,crack cocaine, heroin etc, not weed, which seems to be the de-rigueur amongst the brain dead and talentless hip-hop stars.
Maybe someone should introduce Beyonce, JayZ etc to some mind bending substance. They might then produce some decent music.

  11. This is so sad. Everyone knew it was bound to happen if she kept on the path she was on. I feel for her family and freinds.

I remember her when she first came on the scene before she became so famous....she had an album out called "Frank" and I think she was nominated for a mobo award or something like that. She was a beautiful, healthy-looking, fresh talent.

Then of course she released "Back to Black", the fame came and that was the begining of the end for the poor girl.

    RIP Amy Winehouse

  12. OMG!! ooh I'm shocked even though she's always been troubled by alcohol and drugs. So sad, she was so young!

  13. Amy was a girl who I would say from my point of view would have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality disorder. This can be quite difficult to treat especially where there is co-morbid substance misuse. I feel for her . May her Sould RIP

  24. Amy Winehouse has joined the 27 Club, also occasionally known as the Forever 27 Club or Club 27, this is a name for a group of influential rock music artists who died at the age of 27.

Neil Young once said “it’s better to burn out than to fade away” a sentence that would later be found in a suicide note written by Kurt Cobain. Kurt was the 5th member of the 27 club, a group of musicians who died at the age of 27. Today, with the passing of Amy Winehouse, she too has joined the ranks of Jim Morrison, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Lily Tembo, Linda Jones, Freaky Tah, Rodrigo Bueno, Fat Pat, and others who are part of this exclusive club.

What did they all have in common?? all were musicians, mainly of the hard rock genre....

    Where are they spending eternity???

  33. I didn't think I would feel this upset about her death but I really do...and my heart goes out to her parents...it must be one of the hardest things in the world for a parent to watch their child insist on the path of self-destruction. I hope you rest in peace Amy, and I hope others learn from your mistakes.

  41. Amy Winehouse was a self destructive, alcholic, drug addict. She did it to herself. It is unfortunate that she died, however, She pissed away the talent that God gave her. What a Waste!!!!!
