  4. Anon July 15, 2011 12:06 PM, No worries, Ikemba is still very much alive, so Nneka knows too well that she can't be the voice of a living legend, and that is deep thinking and serious respect from her.
I said in a review of her I did when i was writing for Sideview magazine 2 years ago that this girl will take the world by storm, seems my prediction is sure fire.
Was watching "you go served 2" yesterday and got emotional when "heartbeat" rolled as one of the sound tracks. This girl is up there and climbing, yet as humble as the girl next door. Keep doing your thing, the sky is only the beginning.

  5. Nneka! great message but ur research should have told u that in all this struggle Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu is so worth mentioning, the fight he put up as a very young man that was sabotaged by stupid people for their own selfish gains is what we as south-east and south-south people put together are suffering now. that man as a young man foresaw what these useless northers are doing now. i still pray for Nigeria, peace

  12. Love your work Nnekka - way to go! A huge contrast compared to most of her naija contemporaries. Naija music has gone mostly downhill these days. I used to be into it but now it seems good music surfaces ones in a blue moon. Good music has been replaced by crappy slogans and slangs; the beats seem to sound all the same.

  13. Exactly! those asking her 2 mention sm1,SING YA OWN SONG...
This is fresh air and great music, someone is singing something with real message in a long time.
Nigerians need to understand each person has its quota to make a change in our great land.

  14. the chorus is nice... but in my humble opinion, she should put a little more effort in her appearance. she has a structure that mildly resembles that of a pubertal boy. and she does not help herself much by then wearing a facecap and sweater. if she dresses more feminine, her beauty shines through more

@Ugo - Shut up!What do you know about Image? She is who she is and her music reflects who she is.Can you be a social critique and activist and indulge in frivolities like Make-ups and all that shits? Nneka is a very smart Artist, she represents me/Naija and she knows who she is.
The day she starts singing love songs and all those rubbish that our ladies churn out everyday, she looses her identity.Be Smart and don't be afraid to be DIFFERENT.

  16. @ lord Isaac boro, you know what, I typed up a civil response and then I was like"nah". If you don't feel the need to engage in civil discourse without resorting to throwing insults, then I refuse to humor you.
