Rochas Okorocha defends frivolous appointments

The Governor spoke to Encomium magazine through his Senior Special Assistant on media, Chinedu Offor.
His appointments are in the best interest of the state. Everybody he has appointed has something special and beneficial to attract to the state. The governor saves about N150million for Imo state per day as he is not going to be earning any salary for four years. All the automobiles in his fleets are his personal vehicles and his family is not being taken care of by tax payers money unlike his predecessors.
It is only ignorant people that are criticizing the governor. Take the SA to the governor on Lagos State (Nkiru Sylvanus) she is a very popular Nollywood actress who will use her brand face to attract business to the state. It doesn't matter if Okorocha appoints 1, 000 aides, his ultimate goal is to move the state forward.

Governor Okorocha appointed 70 people as Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.

  1. I am loving this Rochas guy. He is keeping the 'family' all invloved in shaping the state. Good PR.

Anambra kwanu, how far? I say other governors should stop being sanctimonous and uptight and do same.

Who would have thought the cry baby actress has an appointment and the likes of Genny baby and onyeka onwenu dont have any....that goes to show. he tis your turn its your turn. Make the most of it.

    Anyway, nice one bro!

  3. Please someone tell this Rehoboam to face his front, stop answering our banters and get down to business. I do not care if his family have access to govt funds or not - they shouldn't anyway.
His SA for following and replying blogs please tell him to pay workers and pensioners whatever they are entitled - in summary, get down to work and start doing things that eyes can see.
I did not realise that this man has time to read Lin's blog like me. Does it mean he has too much time in his hands or he just comes here to wind down like me.

  4. N150 Million a day?

This adviser is an imbecile. Mayor of NYC does not earn a salary either, but when you look at the entire security apparatus around him, and the people working under him in a personal capacity, you see that it all adds up.

As for the SA Lagos affairs attracting business, except she is a business woman, what can she possibly bring to the table?

    SMH

Oooh lawd! Save your people from all these politicians. Heal all these gullible people, including the PR person defending Rochas Okorocha :)

Rochas Okorocha is no different from the others and he ain't no mother Theresa. I don't believe in PR, especially from a politician. So, he loved his people so much that he entered into politics? Who works for free? He would, like the others, turn out to be a con. People needs to wake up. While in office, he, his friends, associates and family will, just like his predecessors, rob Imo State blind. Rochas Okorocha will be richer in Naira, Pounds and Dollars by the time he leaves office. All this talk of not taking any salary or costing the tax payers is bullshit and a kindergarten gimmick to ensure his re-elected....then, work out the rest for yourself. Ask yourself, "what's his real intention?" Naijas in Nigeria are damn too easily tricked and manipulated by politicians :)

  8. i hope he's saying the truth. i believe he has good intentions. as for those against him, maybe you should wait and see results before condemning.

  9. Bwahahahaahahahaa, he is saving the State 150million A DAY. Buhahahahahaha, Nkiru(love her by the way) will bring business to the State. I know some hot entrepreneurs from Imo State that are shaking Lagos, and Naija in general but he picks Nkiru...a "famous" actress. Even celeb-obsessed Americans will not invest in a place just because Megan Fox or Megan Good flash their pretty smiles.

His PR person is a comedian or is the Chief Comedian SA dude speaking.
    Imo Kwenu!!! Naija Kwenu!!!

Jokes aside, I believe in this man and I want him to succeed. If this whole thing moves the State forward then more power to him. If I were him, I would visit Fashola and Amaechi to ask for pointers.

  14. Anon July 27, 2011 7:01 PM; my exact sentiments. They should enlist Imolites in the Diaspora.

I think all the posts will serve as some sort of money laundering tool for the government. We know the drill....

  15. Na wah for all of ona o!!!

If Rochas like make him chop our money I no care cause I know he's going to do a great job!

  17. As far as retards go, this guy sets a new standard. Okorocha is a schmuck. Its one thing to piss on my face...but dont call it rain. This man is using SA to siphon money out of the state into his personal pocket and yet he talks of not collecting salary.
