Some people will not kill someborri. So apparently there's a pageant in Zimbabwe called Mr. Ugly. And every year, contestants come out in their hundreds to win the title. This year's pageant which took place sometime last month May and was won by Austin Mbewe, 30, pictured above with his runners-up. After winning the title, Austin told a Zimbabwean Newspaper,
"I have been a subject of ridicule from society since childhood and the world has seen that there is a beautiful side to my ugliness."
The organizer of the pageant is a Zimbabwean man called Lovemore Chonzi with endorsed from Zimbabwe Tourism Authority. WTH? lol. There has to be something wrong with these people!
But think about it, if they had a pageant like this in Naija,
Obasanjo or Taribo West, who do you think will win? Just kidding...lol. No one is ugly, just unattractive...

ReplyDeleteFine, some people are WIDELY accepted as beautiful. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
At the same time, some people are not universally beautiful but have "peculiar", "intriguing" "interesting" faces. While some are classic beauties, some have memorable/strong facial features so Linda, my dear, nothing like ugly.
There are some clothes only certain people with certain faces can wear. You should know better, afterall you have a modelling agency and not all models are universally beautiful or pretty.
Some have comic faces, some have expresssive faces, etc.
Also, to an artist, some beautiful faces are not as "artistically stimulating or interesting or complex" as these "ugly" faces you refer to.
