Encomium Black and White Ball Gathers Momentum

It will be another glittering constellation of the good, the great, the glamorous and the gorgeous on March 20th, 2011 at the new and prestigious ‘The Pine Park’ on Admiralty Way, Lekki Peninsula Scheme 1, Lekki, Lagos as Encomium Magazine holds the 2011 edition of The Black and White Ball incorporating The Elegance and Style Awards and parading the spectacular fashion show in a grand style incomparable to its previous editions.

The 6-hour ball billed to start by 4pm will see movies and music stars, comedians, professionals, entrepreneurs, and fashion icons all in black and white making a common statement in personal style.The Elegance and Style Awards with the aim to celebrate those who make our world more colorful will feature 22 categories ranging from Most Elegant Women, Most Stylish Men, Most Stylish Governor, Most Elegant First-Lady, All Time Beauty Queen, Most Dashing Celebrity Couple and others. Awardees will be going home with Elesho Totems a symbol of soigné and sophistication.

The ebony and ivory look this year will be more elegant on the runway as Da Viva a front line manufacturer of African prints will be providing the about a dozen talented designers with fabrics to turn around into standout trends. Winners of this fashion show will be going home with gifts from Da Diva.

This year’s edition of The Black and White Ball incorporating The Elegance and Style Awards and parading the spectacular fashion show in a grand style has as its theme ‘Change our future for good’ a theme chosen to encourage people to maximize their civic responsibility and vote responsibly.

For food, guests will be treated to three course meal and dessert accompanied by delicious small chops, chilled cocktails and fresh juices. From the grand reception, guests will be thrilled with music from a quartet or quintet led by a pianist, violinist, guitarist and a drummer. The King of DJs will be taking over from the band to further thrill the audience into an unforgettable night of absolute fun.
