I think had she worn a dress that represented her roots (like she did in an Elan Magazine shoot last year), there are many Nigerian/African designers using Ankara/Woodene to make beautiful attires, fresh designs etc it would have been super hot but she was trying to fit in with the LA crowd, hence the horrendous white dress. Had that dress been black, it wouldn't have been half as bad but white has never been the color for a women with a little meat on her bones. White makes people look bigger in addition to the 10lbs that the camera adds.

But Omotola (Obviously invited by some international music producer she's probably speaking to) went to the ceremony, appeared on E's red carpet (Everyone that watched it saw her right behind Ryan seacrest) taking pictures with some fans (I guess), mingling with her own crowd. As an artise you can go to any award show whether nominated or not, in and outside your country.

you guys stop this already looking at her previous pictures she wears her ring sometimes ,not all the time I am a married woman and I remove my ring a lot of times and forget to put it on. heck when I was pregnant it was off for the duration of my pregnancy and the ring on her thumb is always on her thumb so its not like she removed her wedding ring and slipped on her thumb

goodness me, what was Omotola thinking in that dress? It was totally wrong for her figure and you could see her bulging stomach- not a very flattering set of pictures- she might get away with this sort of dress in Nigeria in the company of other Nigerian women with the same figure but not at an international event like the Grammys- this woman really needs to hit the gym BIG time- there are slimmer and toned stars coming up like Stephanie Oforka and Ifeoma Ejenobor and of course Genevieve, so if Omotola wants to keep up, she needs to slim down. True she has had children but so have the likes of Stella Damascus, Oge Okoye and Omoni Oboli yet they still look slim.

ReplyDeleteI am delighted for omot as she's fondly called by her fans that she made it to this year's Grammys.Either she begged for the invite or she got it on a platter of gold is not ma biz but men I have seen her with better and nicer dresses so its amazing why she decided to wear that dress and even forgot to use her body magic. well am sure she left her hotel room in a rush so she could catch a glimpse of stars on the red carpet at least owo ticket ma wogbo.lol

I am a married woman and I remove my ring a lot of times and forget to put it on.
heck when I was pregnant it was off for the duration of my pregnancy
and the ring on her thumb is always on her thumb so its not like she removed her wedding ring and slipped on her thumb

it's either she bought the dress moooonths ago n didnt bother to try it on again b4 leaving or she got carried away with her nickname n forgot to dress her age!
sorry if it seems harsh but u have to either tuck it in or hide it. like my man Lynxx said - "suck belle make the dress fine" (in this case)
plus it's obvious the dress is so short bcos she had to pull it down long enough to show us the whole bra underneath!

To be honest, i beleive our "celebrities" don't understand that they are constantly in the public eye and that you have to work hard at looking good - fact of life! some people might be lucky & have a knack for it like the always delectable Genevieve (no comparisms o, just an example)but if u know u dont, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to look ur best and asking for help/advice especially as the whole world watches

ReplyDeleteFirst of all just because she attended the grammys doesnt mean she has done something fantastic.Until Nolly wood gets more recognition in Hollywood she really is just a guest like anyone else who wasn't really noticed. I love thick African women, however there are ways in which u portray ur image such that people will appreciate ur figure. There are many big women in Hollywood who are beautiful and dress appropiately. Omotola do not allow us miss Genevieve all the time and wish we saw her instead of you.if you are going to represent us abroad like others like 2face have done in the past pls do it well. There is nothing wrong in wearing a nice outfit made of our own native material. Your are not a slim person and I know people tell u that ur sexy but this surely isn't what sexy implies in Hollywood. Wearing clothes that fit you well is sexy.This is trying too hard, u need to tone it down . less is more.
