  3. I am proud of Jeta Amata, this is good. Pls Linda is it Jeta that produced amazing grace (the film) too?

  4. to Anon @3.16 PM, yes Jeta Amata produced Amazing Grace as well. Well done to you Jeta Amata, for being able to assemble such a cast of prolific actors and you are right, Anon@12.49, this is indeed the beginning of Nollywood opening into internatioal movie mainstream. This is good because it will be that there will be less reliance on same old faces such as Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo or even that so-called actor, Van Vicker! I love Olu Jacobs and would love to see him in more movies.

  5. Big ups to Jeta. However Ms Linda, these are not considered Big Holloywood stars here in the U.S.A

They are considered D-list Actors and Actresses, which just means they are yet to really make it in the Hollywood scene, just an FYI

  6. @anon 1:57, how can you open you mouth to downplay the efforts of Jeta Amata to put this cast together. "here in U.S.A" as you put it, these might not be A-list actors/actresses (like George Clooney and Nicole Kidman) but they are certainly not D-list. How can you say that these actors/ actresses that have been working for decades are "yet to make it"?

For one, Eric Roberts is an Academy Award Nominee (thats an Oscar if you dont know), has also been nominated multiple times for a Golden globe award and has won many other Hollywood awards.

Sarah Callies is a relatively newer actress and she is more on TV than in theaters but that doesn't mean she is a D-lister either.

Tom Sizemore has multiple awards to his name including a nomination for a golden globe and a screen actors guide (SAG) award.

Vivica Fox is a prolific actress. She might not be big in "mainstream hollywood" (reason being that African Americans esp. the women have a hard time getting roles in "mainstream hollywod"), but she has definitely made her mark in the black movie industry

They fact that you don't know who these actors are does not make them all D-listers, okay sweetie?

You should have just stopped with "big ups to Jeta" instead of going ahead and belittling the whole thing. It's backhanded compliments like yours that make me tire for people like you.

  9. Hahahahaha. This cast is not even B list, more like D list, full of has beens and not even beens...

So star wattage is non-existent, sorry.

Heck, the biggest star seems to be Vivica Fox, and she hasn't been in a hit movie since 'Independence Day' where she was a supporting actress, and I'd came out close to two decades ago ago in '96.

Anyway, Jetta gets and A for effort in getting them all together, but that's about it.

  13. Wow, I am so impressesed with Jeta Amata. I saw the preview, and I know this is a brilliant movie. I am so proud of him.

Can we stop the stupid argument of who's A or Z actors and actresses. LET'S FOCUS ON THE MESSAGE IN THE MOVIE.

One of the reasons why Nigeria is so backward is that they always fail to focus on the importance of issues, they will rather spend their whole day arguing and criticizing, knowing that they have nothing to prove.
