Fashola finally endorsed by Action Congress of Nigeria
Lagos State Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola endorsed by Action Congress of Nigeria. Endorsement was today 5th January ratified by the party NEC after a marathon meeting in Lagos. It ends the long controversy between Fashola’s political Godfather Bola Tinubu and supporters of the governor who threaten to ...leave the ACN if Tinubu failed to endorse Fashola. Tinubu was present at today’s endorsement.
It is all arrangee. If Fashola does not maintain the status quo; keeping Tinubu as the 'boss' of Lagos, he would be impeached within 6 months of being elected.
Remember, it's who controls the house that matters, not who is governor, and the house belongs to Tinubu...
9jaLife, well said. I guess Fashola has now agreed to continue paying dues to Asiwaju BAT. Plus, i think Asiwaju will pick his new Deputy Governor who'll serve as a sort of check on Fashola. Asiwaju = behemoth!
That's key... The new dept is going to be the shadow gov to all intents and purposes, as shortly after the 2nd term begins, crisis shall rock Alausa, Fashola shall be impeached and the Dept shall assume that position...

@sola Endorsing Fashola means he will presented on the platform of the party ACN i.e. he will be the candidate of ACN during the next election.
It is a wise decisions chieftains of ACN has made otherwise Fashola will contest the election on the platform of another political party and he will still win the gubernatorial election.
Please ignore my ignorance. But for fellow Naija-Americans like me, what does it mean endorsing him? Hasn't he been a governor forever?
