Bode George set for release in February 2011

Former PDP chieftain, Chief Bode George, 65, will be released from the Kirikiri Maximum prison next month, following the completion of his jail term which ends in February 2011 after spending almost a year and a half there. He was sent to prison in Oct 2009 for 30 months by a court in Lagos on charges of fraud.

BTW, prison calendars years is not same as the conventional 12-months calendar year...

  1. Will the same PDP send Atiku to prison and/or the rest of the other "polithiefcians" who cross paths with OBJ and GEJ?

Even if he was released today, he remains a convict.

  4. I wish there is a rule that will still allow convicts and criminals to stay behind bars even they have completed their years.

These type of people are deadly to the society.

  6. Well, here in UK, when they sentence a criminal to 5years in jail... He or she will only do 2 and half years, if they are of good behaviour while in prison.

They always do half of the sentences, except it's life, which is about 20years exactly.

Dunno bout 9ja, but me think 5yrs is 5yrs or plus sef.

  7. Isn't one calendar year equales to nine months in prison?

  8. Lol time is time. Only credit is time served while awaiting sentencing or while on trial.

    Otherwise same calendar applies.
