Nigerians To Get New ID Cards

After 10 years, Nigeria is set to launch a fresh set of national identity cards and as early as January next year, people may be required to line up for the new bio-data registration process. The National Identity Management Commission which is in charge of the scheme assured Nigerians that the new cards will be different from the ones issued between 2001 and 2006. - 234next

  2. National Identity is a very bad idea. It will be subject to abuse by law enforcement agents and government officials. How people go carry ID like goats in their own country when Nigeria is not a police State? How come Nigerians fell for this silly idea? Soon them go finger print everyone in 9ja and people go still fall for it. Na waaaaaaaaaa.

  5. I don't get why people are angry about the ID card. I think it is necessary.
I agree with Ade cool. They need to have a database then it will be worth while, and get finger prints in the process.
How do you think Americans are able to enforce the law? We all have social security, and they are able to track anybody down cause you can't do anything without your SS.
