Abia State Notorious Kidnapper, Osisikankwu Killed By Soldiers

Osisikankwu
The soldiers drafted to Abia State to halt the kidnappings in the state on Sunday killed the state’s most notorious kidnapper, Mr. Obioma Nwankwo, nicknamed Osisikankwu. The criminal was killed at Ugwuati Evil Forest when his gang engaged security forces in a gunfight according to Army spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Sagir Musa.

Osisikankwu and his gang of kidnappers had terrorized Abia residents before the Federal Government deployed troops to quell their activities. He and members of his gang had been in hiding since the troops arrived in the state in September after the kidnap of journalists. - The Will Nigeria

  1. Did he kill his victims? Or where his actions a cry for help towards the goverment?
Taking lives will not solve the problem in Nigeria, a better government that provides jobs will. Life is precious.

  4. I sincerely hope it's true..
There are so many versions to this story I don't know what to believe but the bottom line is I just pray Abia state never gets to hear from him or his likes ever again.

  7. I don't mind 9ja power cuts, but, kidnappers / armed robbers scare the hell out of me.

Surely, this is good news. The federal government needs to take continuous action against these kidnappers and their backers in the military and the corrupt police.

Obtaining money by force is the motive behind more than half of the kidnapping offences. Asset seizure and forfeiture can be a major law enforcement tool.

The Fed Govt must step up efforts to seize the assets of armed-robbers and kidnappers.
