  4. Love Genny's accent. She shows there is no need to fake it: There is such a thing as a good African/Nigerian accent. Hers is IT. No need for that annoying nasal American noise that many Nigerians are copying these days.

She needs more experience - to get used to being on the international stage, though. The inexperience showed in her answers to some of the questions. She will get better, though.

    You go, girl!

  5. well, i'm grateful she's getting some international recognition; however, she sounded very nervous and i didn't like her answer for giving back. does it mean she doesn't have any ngo or attached to one already, even mercy johnson is building a motherless baby home. also mentioning angelina jolie n jonny depp? what happened to halle berry and denzel washington? i know she's prolly hoping to be called to work with either of them but she would have a better chance working with halle berry dem first. n bf anyone crucifies me, its just moho!!

  14. Okay after looking at the interview, all I can see is rubbish. You looked nervous she gave answers that are not direct. No wonder it took them forever to air the show because a left the interview learning absolutely nothing from it.

This shows that she really needs to work on PR. The give back part she does nothing and it was obvious. The part about how she helps up and coming, she doesn't because that is who she is. It's all about her. This is a woman I really like and will buy her movies anytime she's on the cover. She's a great actress but this interview did her no justice.

  15. I'm so pleased for Genevieve and more importantly for Nigeria, that we are starting to get positive reports that shows the country in good light. Well done to Nollywood for being such a good ambassador to Nigeria. I would also like to add here that Igbo people are achievers (no, before anyone ask, I am not Igbo- I am Tiv)

  16. Great interview and Genny is my girl any given day...she was very nervous and you can tell, she wore her emotions up her sleeves...interviewers try to rattle you, so yeah, know that and don't be rattled. We all know you drive and don't walk, there are nicer ways to put that especially when Lagos is still percieved(and really is) a big city developing/third world economy and that the assumption is most people don't have cars

  17. Good exposure but our own Genevieve sounded and acted really nervous....

  18. lol @ stepping out into the international spotlight...

Genevieve has as much of a chance of being an international superstar as Baba Sala...

Good luck to her though, I'm sure being a household name in naija isn't half of a bad thing.

  19. she appeared very nervous and she had no answer as to what she has done or is doing to give bk 2 d community!

Come on Genevieve don't tell me u are not associated with any NGO! Are u kidding?

No fall my hand o abeg!

    Overall I give d interview a 5 out of 10.
It can be indeed be nerve wrecking stepping on d international scene.

P.s-What was that abt her not being able to walk around in Lagos or was I hearing things? O_o

Is it really that serious now??

  20. good exposure, nothing spectacular! she really needs to listen to d questions properly before answering. i think she would get better though. good step genny.

  22. Good interview Genny.... but let's not get carried away...you might never really make it in Hollywood (Angelina jolie and johnny depp???? You didn't even call the black actors.....) but we really appreciate the way you represent us and how you keep flying high...All the blessings.
Anyone living in the USA, will understand why I made that comment....Most people of color, when they wanna enter Hollywood, they always do Black oriented films, before entering into mainstream . This is something Halle berry and Jamie foxx and a whole bunch of others did. Genevieve, Hollywood shall never come knocking at your door but its your duty to audition for movies if you really wish to work there......Anyways, good interview though... again, all the best for this beauty....

  25. Genevieve did well in the interview; her accent and comportment. And she has to let go of the long hair. Ok. why? It doesn't really do her justice with the side parting. Lol.. i understand that her peeps will attack me, and then again, bangs are more suitable to her type of face, should she wear long hair. :)

Linda, please publish o, I know she's the nation's darling genny.
