Waiting to Exhale gets sequel

Another one of best-selling author Terry McMillian’s books is being adapted to screen! Twentieth Century Fox is developing Getting to Happy, the recently released sequel to Waiting to Exhale
Getting to Happy centers on the four women of Waiting to Exhale 15 years later. They are all now in their 50s at their own mid-life crossroads. No news on casting yet, but as a refresher, the four women of the 1995 Forrest Whitaker-directed movie were played by Whitney Houston, Angela Bassett, Loretta Devine, and Lela Rachon.

Please bring them all back for another round!

nice! i can't wait to see it, i had wanted to say they shouldn't use whitney houston again for the role IF they brought back the old characters BUT she's lived through somethings these past few years and i think that might help inform the role. it might help her go into the character on a deeper level because as much love as i have for the Whit, her acting is mediocre at best. i do think the ladies will sign on again because outside of loretta devine, the rest of them need a career revival!

  5. hmm, wow. i guess Whitney now definitely has a valid reason and probably a goal to go to rehab and transform her heroine-stream to a bloodstream. that is pure and clean.

cause we all know if she doesn't...its the end of everything...i.e the former cast.

  6. My only question is how will they keep Whitney Houston together to be able to act? I guess a 'supplier' on standby should do the trick.....(If the story of her inability to finish her world concert was anything to go by)!

Not beefing o......i love her still!

chei skankmypeaceofmind, the woman was never on heroine, o abeg. this is how rumors starts. she used crack cocaine, drugs are drugs and yes she did famously say that crack is wack while kissing the pipe everyday BUT please ah ah. heroine is the most dirtiest of all the drugs, even drug addicts don't like admitting to using it sef because it is just a very nasty drug.

  8. @ entertainment observer said like you said even drug addicts don't like admitting to using. maybe that's why she hasn't admitted to using it. This whitney's own is just sad for me. sigh of to listen to ~i will always love you. #bettertimes
