BON Awards gathers momentum

















The Best of Nollywood Awards (BON will hold on December 15th, 2010. And, the organizers are set to break the world record for the longest red carpet in the world with a red carpet that would stretch over 1.7km, beating the current world record holder of 1.6m.



A new category, Most Promising Act has been added to this year’s award while the organizers are working day and night to ensure that the best actor and actress of the year walk home with brand new cars. Already 78 movies including kajola,figurine ,omoghe, to mention a few, have been submitted for this year’s award.

Past winners include Doris Simon‘s Omo Iya Kan (Indigenous Movie of the Year; Ramsey Noah (English Actor of the Year); Dele Odule (Indigenous Actor of the Year); Baba Latin’s Lagos to Benin (Ali Baba Comedy Film of the Year); Muyiwa Ademola (Supporting Actor of the Year); Mercy Johnson (Supporting Actress of the Year); Kayode Akinbayo (Revelation of the Year – Male) and Kehinde Bankole (Revelation of the Year- Female).

  2. Nollykpako no dey shame? what kind of rubbish are they doing? instead of them to compete with the kind and quality of movies they put out there they are competing with length of red carpets.

  3. Rubish , misplaced priority visionless people, A company is grounding and you are busy giving the MD award. Is a lengthy red carpet our problem or production and logistical advancement in the industry. Who is even wordy of the award self. Attention ashawoos. Your house is on fire and you are busy chasing rat. This is not a time for awards, am sure they jus want to come and show off with their latest evening gowns and suits, mumus, this is time to rebuild and reposition Nollywood
