Husbands On The Way — Adefarasin Tells Church’s Spinsters

Senior Pastor of House On The Rock, Paul Adefarasin, yesterday prophesied that unmarried women in his church will meet their husbands soon. Adefarasin, who made the pronouncement at about 12 noon yesterday, told the church’s unmarried women that “by this time tomorrow (today), in the next 24 hours, you are going to meet the man that you are going to marry.”

As Adefarasin made the prophetic pronouncement, female worshippers in the church jumped from their seats, raised their hands and responded with a deafening “Amen”. He read the Book of 2nd Kings Chapters 6 and 7 where the Syrians laid siege to the city of Samaria and prevented food supply for many weeks.

The action led to famine and inflation in the city to the extent that men where eating their children and Samaria’s four lepers were driven out of the city and made to sit at the gate to die first. “When all hopes were lost,” Adefarasin said, “Prophet Elisha prophesied that the next day, tomorrow, inflation was going to ceased.”

He also read 2nd Kings 7:1-2: “Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria. “Then a lord on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God, and said: Behold, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, might this thing be? And he said, Behold, thou shalt see it with thine eyes, but shalt not eat thereof”, adding that it is only unbelief that can prevent the prophecy from coming to pass.

Adefarasin told one of the unmarried ladies in the church that God has kept for her “a tall, dark and handsome man with money in his pocket that will take you all over the world.” He said the four lepers then decided to go to the Syrian camp and to their surprise, the Syrians had fled. “God can do anything in 24 hours,” he said, “all you need is to make the right decision today and have faith,” he told the single ladies.

  9. Linda this is about the third time you would be posting stuff about Paul Adefarasin, do u have a crush on the guy? Well its understandable if you do but seriously stay out of issues as delicate as God and the church. I dont know what you want to achieve by putting up a man of God for people to castigate ( like they did the last time). And I must say am really surprised at your affiliation with the cheapest and siliest paper in town PM news!

  16. Amen for all those who are looking!!!

  17. @ Nonye: Your time would have been better spent claiming the prayer if you are single. If you are married, then you are an original bad belle.

I didn't find the post 'entertaining' or "informative" either, but I saw it as a meaningful reminder about God's ability to fulfil the prophetic declarations he ushers through his servants.

    Please think before you type.

  18. Nonye and Anonymous 12.57pm, why the hypocrisy? Last time i checked there was freedom of expression, association etc. I've seen this post in different fora and it's funny how hypocrites are shouting out about mocking the article. If the article is mocked so what? However, i say Amen to Pastor Paul's prophesy!

  23. @Nonye, how are you sure Linda is not a member of his church? There can be no crush on such a married pastor for Linda at all. I don't think Linda would like to marry a single pastor either. Am I wrong?

  24. @mama tee,I'm actually Catholic...and u're right...i don't think i can survive as a pastor's wife. i'm not that religious..:-)
