Wyclef to run for president of Haiti?

According to growing internet chatter, Wyclef is planing to run as a candidate for the November 28 presidential elections in Haiti.

His family released this non committal statement.

"Wyclef's commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter . . . At this time, Wyclef Jean has not announced his intent to run for Haitian president. If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately."

Insiders insists it's true!

  1. I don't think that's an entirely bad idea once he has credible advisers. Look at Schwarzenegger...

  3. I hope its true and I hope it wins! He has done a lot for his country and if he wants to try with ruling it, good luck to him!

Hmm, maybe people like Seal and Sade Adu can come and run for a post in Nigeria. I mean they have spent their lives talking about how horrible their time there was..well why dont they come back and fix it? LOL

    Cheers

  4. Is he broke? Well, he may get his last pay cheque if he becomes the President of Haiti. They need to watch him, because he embezzled funds from his YELE foundation.

  5. seal and sade adu have not spent much time in Nigeria know her and to rule it. to wyclef I don't know his educational back ground even his foundation we were told was at 1st not run perfectly. ruling a country takes more than ur celebrity power it takes deep internal and international political knowledge. take for example Liberia,George Weah was so popular that he wanted to rule but Ellen Johnson Sirleaf was voted to rule the nation. if u check her back ground she is capable to rule it. now I am not say wyclef can't rule but if they have someone better let that person rule so wyclef could use his celebrity power to bring more money to the nation.
