Man accused of raping and impregnating daughters

An award-winning video director was unmasked Thursday as a brutal, bizarre serial breeder who repeatedly raped his daughters to create a "pure" bloodline.
Aswad Ayinde, who won an MTV award for directing The Fugees' "Killing Me Softly," fathered six kids with his daughters from the mid-1980s to 2002 - and delivered the babies himself, New Jersey prosecutors said.

Ayinde, 51, who most recently lived in Paterson, N.J., also had nine kids with his ex-wife, Beverly, and at least three more with two other women in Brooklyn, court records show.

"He said the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen," Beverly Ayinde testified at a pre-trial hearing.
Also known as Charles McGill, Ayinde faces the first of five trials next month - one for each daughter he allegedly violated, said Lisa Squitieri, the Passaic County prosecutor handling the case.

Ayinde, held on $1 million bond, was hit with 27 charges including aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, lewdness, child endangerment, aggravated criminal sexual contact and criminal sexual contact.

Ayinde? Oh Lord, don't let this monster be a Nigerian.
What a sick man...

  1. Plenty of African Americans give themselves African names, they identify as afrocentric americans and I think that could be the case here. It has been stated that his name is Charles McGill. Linda, abeg you shouldn't have mentioned 9ja in this report because people can run with things before fully reading it, we already have enough to contend with with the panty bomber dude, muslim-christian killings in jos, please don't mention naija and this demon spawn of satan in the same sentence, jesu!

  2. First thing my mind went to when I heard his name. I think I'm just trying to blind myself. Ayinde sounds very western Nigerian and I'm hoping its not.

But besides that, from anywhere in the world., this is heart wrenching. What blasphemy!

  5. This is why I strongly believe some people should be sterilised. This guy is obviously crazy; a vasectomy would have saved these poor kids the agony of coming into the world to be violated... On a more serious note, this is sick. I hope the kids are getting all the help they need cos the situation must be an immense psychological burden.

  7. Ayinde is a Yoruba name but we are not sure that it was not his adopted name. Monster Ayinde! It is a taboo in Yorubaland.

  12. wth, what's up with all these people doing disgusting things like this, and their names are nigerians. They need to start clarifying who's nigerian or not. I read another article, about a woman who circumcised her 6 month old baby in Atlanta or something, her name is also nigerian. The Nigerian terrorist, and having a failed government/leadership is enough for Nigerians to get themselves together.

  13. i'm late to this discussion, but this sounds like the very guy/family oprah had on a few years back (prolly in wake of his arrest). the wife/exwife was still loyal to him IIRC, as were at least 1 or 2 of the daughters (i.e., still viewing him as god and no complaints about rape or other treatment). 1 or 2 had gone on to become MODELS - i remember that clearly.

i also remember them referring to the "end of the world" aspect of the whole thing -- he was "protecting" them all. the show might have been one about CULTS moreso than rape per se.

this has GOT to be the same guy/show. and yet, i can't google it up using EITHER of his names!

what's the deal here? anyone else remember that episode?

was it under some THIRD name?
