"Don Jazzy should pay homage" OJB Jezreel

Delta State born producer and musician OJB Jezreel has produced many hit songs including Tuface Idibia's African Queen. He gave an interview recently to City People magazine.
Excerpt...

Can you rate the top 3 Nigerian producers?
OJB Jezreel "That's very tight because there are a lot of them now. Definitely Cobhams, Frabs and I wish I could put it together, that is ID Cabasa and Joe Kenny in one place.

Where do you place someone like Don Jazzy?
OJB "He's a good producer but you said my top 3 and he's not in my top 3. I'm sure if you ask him who's your top 3, he will say Terry G, Terry G, Terry G.

Do you guys talk when you see?
OJB "Of course we do

But you are not really in good terms?
OJB "We talk well, but all the same, someone can be greeting you and laughing with you everyday but it doesn't mean that the person is doing the right thing"

What do you think he should do?
OJB "Come and pay homage, simple."

  1. OJB is not serious at all.He is deluded at his own abilities which dosent make sense! Why will you ask Don Jazzy to pay homage? That is so local no wonder he is not making progress. Lrt everyone do his own thing...Nuff respect

  3. lol.....he does have a point but at the same time, he shouldn't be the one saying it. let's face OJB has been there for a long time, spinning hits before the mass revolution of the music industry which paved a platform for peeps like don jazzy to make names. he's more the like production's ''rakeem''..just cuz he's not always in the news doesnt mean he's not progressing. people like him are legends but personally askin for homage?(lol)..that's somewhat low but at the same time, the man knows his worth!!!

  6. Come and pay homage to WHAT?
IS HE A DEMI GOD OR SANGO OR OGUN OR EVEN SHOPONA SEF?
ALL THIS TIN-GODS THAT LIKE TO FEEL SHA,NO WONDER AFRICA NEVER MOVES FORWARD,ONE STEP FORWARD TEN STEPS BACK WHEN WE HAVE PEOPLE LIKE OBJ JEZEBEL OR WHATEVER THE HELL HE CALLS HIMSELF.

Stick to your lane and let don jazzy stick to his and i'm sure you will ALL be fine.

  9. Hahaha!!!! very funny..Joke of the century.. you don't compel people to pay homage to you, you earn it.... Can't imagine King Sunny Ade or Ali Baba demanding for homage. OJB is a talented producer no doubt and so also is Don Jazzy...

  10. Don Jazzy should be very careful and continue to pretend with OJB Jezreel? What a common insult! Pay who homage? OJB went too far but at least Don Jazzy and D'Banj are aware of their enemy. It is rivalry that's all.

That was how he lambasted Nigerian journalists for revealing that he (OJB) had several wives. He waxed a record with GOLDIE and rapped that it was nobody's business. He hates the truth!

Don Jazzy is more popular and better in production that he is. OJB is a big fool. Don Jazzy paid his dues in London with JJC and 419 Squad band so he cannot pay homage to anybody that is lower than him. Nonsense! Even Terry G is better than OJB.

  15. OJB is just one of them.Don Jazzy is the most creative youth producer I've ever seen. He's cultured and principle. In what he does,he's best. When you talk of Don Jazzy,The next person you think of is Cohbams and the rest before picking people like that.
