Violence erupts in Jos, 20 killed, several people injured

For those who haven’t heard, violent clashes again erupted in Jos yesterday claiming about 20 lives while plenty others were injured. The clash started in Dutse-Uku area of the city in the morning when a band of youths attacked worshippers at the St. Michael Catholic Church, at about 7am. About 35 people were arrested, five of whom were wearing military uniforms without being officers of the Nigerian Armed forces. In a swift reaction to the crisis, the state government has imposed a curfew from 6pm-6am on the state capital.

Why again for heaven’s sake, why?

  5. Linda I appreciate your posts and how you try to keep us informed. But pls can you warn us before you show pics of dead people? Some of us are easily traumatised by seeing dead bodies.I made the mistake of going to Stellasgroove today and I have not been myself at all. She showed the picture of a man who had a tragic accident with a truck, his head smashed into bits by the tyre. I almost fainted at the sight especially since there was no warning. I ran from her site to yours and got another picture, though less grisly. I love what you ladies are doing but pls moderate some graphic images. I cant go back to Stellas website to post this comment because of that pic, it frightened the hell out of me and ruined my day. If there is somebody who is brave enough to go to her site, pls tell her what I have just said. Thanks
