RIP Ladi Lawal

Alhaji Ladi Lawal was the Group Managing Director of Daar Communications (owners of AIT, Raypower, Daarsat) and former Chairman of Lagos State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ). He died yesterday 23rd May after a brief illness. He has since been buried. He was aged 54. May his soul rest in peace, Amen.

  1. he was a mentor and a friend. A brilliant scholar and veteran broadcaster.he was humble and kind, never acted the big man. Ladi had a word and smile for evryone from the security man at the gate,the canteen staff up to his proffessional buddies. Despite his friendliness, he neva suffered fools gladly but encouraged u to b d best u'll ever b. he always gave everyone a chance cos he believed their is always room for improvement. he gave me my break in broadcasting n i owe part of my success, drive and aspiration to his relentless drive. I LOVE U MY BOSS AND WILL MISS YOU GREATLY!!!

  3. HUN...........I STILL CANT BELEIVE HE IS NO MORE.I PRAY THAT GOD WILL GIVE ALL HIS LOVED ONES D FORTITUDE TO BEAR DIS LOSS. DIS IS INDEED A GREAT LOSS.RIP 'BABA NLA'AS HE WAS FONDLY CALLED.

  4. I RESIDES IN TORONTO, WHEN I GOT THE NEWS, I WAS SO SAD AND HOME SICK. PLEASE SET UP A FOUNDATION FOR HIM TO HELP THE FAMILY. HE IS A GENTLEMAN. .MAY GOD ALLOW HIM ETERNAL REST
