Nigerian man fakes a money giveaway on social media just for fun (photos)

A Nigerian man who faked a giveaway on Facebook was exposed after he revealed to a friend who tried her luck, that it was all a hoax. Sharing screenshots of their chat, the lady showed that she asked for the money as advertised and he requested that she should pretend like she received a bank transfer. Why?
