A Ghanaian man believed to be in his 30s has died after he reportedly took some dosage of Tramadol tablets, a narcotic drug, which is said to be effective for the cure of pains in humans.

The yet to be identified man was found dead at Adehyeman Area, a business hub in Kumasi on Monday, Adom Online reports.

On the sad day, eyewitnesses disclosed that they saw the man lurking around the Adehyeman Area. They said the man displayed slight signs that he was unwell, and he was seen taking some dosage of Tramadol tablets in public. After taking the substance, he fell on the ground with blood oozing from his mouth and nose.

According to the report, the police were informed about the tragedy and have since taken the lifeless body of the man to the morgue for preservation.

Tramadol is a banned substance, which, according to medical experts, can have damning effects on its users.

The United States Food and Drug Administration recently revealed that they are working on restrictions on the use of Tramadol and other medicines are life threatening.
